Nope, it's an "Ouch this is gonna hurt" warning light, about 250rpm before the limiter which isn't necessarily the best place to shift...best shift point changes with each and every gear.

I make it 15 seconds from when the speedo started moving...which was about 1 second after the car had started moving...so closer to 16 overall? ;)

^^^ As above, there's no legal requirement for insurance on trackdays...we're all big boys now, and it's down to the individual to be comfortable that they're "risking" their vehicle.
