I bought a Origin b2 from Has about a year or so ago...still going strong and has never missed a beat/camera.
Pleanty of features, and easily fits into your pocket when you take it out...highly recommended...(as is Has ;) )
What mileage are you at Oms?
Mine lasted until 58k...and that was after serious abuse. I didn't even bother putting it into the hands of the Renault Monkey team...I let Rentech Mike fit a new pair...was £42 a corner and about 20 mins IIRC.
I know mine's a 172 Cup, and I know suspension's moved on a bit but...
I'd say what you're feeling is normal. If you've had a Williams and Elise and are used to pushing the boundries a bit to get the car really working under you and moving about a bit, it will always be a bit edgy at the...
Ooh, ouch, f*** me. Glad you're OK and (some of) the car's salvagable.
I'll be taking it easy with my semi's on from now on I think...save all the sideways action for standard road tyres LOL
With me it's middle management reps in 3 series or A4's, and occasionally senior management in A6/8's, big Saabs or 5/7 series.
Never have a problem with Saxos/Novas, or any other hot hatch really - maybe 'cause it's always so damn filthy, I don't look like someone who'd give it some in...
Nice vid...couldn't live with the exhaust sound...but the editing was excellent.
Was it ESP that saved the day after braking hard in a bend - or lightening quick reactions ;) ?
What do I love...?
The fact that I regularly go past people who can't drive their £60K+ supercars at all (have some lessons mate, far cheaper ;) )...and that when I want it to (which isn't very often), I can average over 45mpg for a whole tank.
Guilt? For what? Letting the engine stretch its legs a little, as RenaultSport intended it to be driven?
In my opinion, you should only feel guilt if you DON'T thrash a 172/182...a normally aspirated engine, that only makes its proper power between 5-7k rpm...should be spending most of its...
I guess I've just never got round to it...never seen the point when I can push past most things on track under extreme load without to much trouble. That and the fact that I cover 30k miles per year means for me it's never needed anything else.
Having said that, I do need to retire my Cup...
My blood was up LOL
I guess I can't blame the Mini...I mean...he was hanging on to the back of a Caterham and GT3 RS or maybe they'd just passed him and he was trying to prove a point...but he could of waited.
Looks like a good day.
That new resurface has fantastic grip when it's dry eh?
Must get back there this summer...it's been p***ing down for two of the last three times I've been since they did the whole track :(
Completely forgot about this...
I'd had a really frustrating session, getting held up everywhere with some shockingly bad driving, so I'm cooling down then this happened...
Almost had me...
'tis a very good point Mark...
But I do like my car to be loose at the back...and I tend to run pressures 2-3 PSI higher at the back rather than the front which for me keeps it set just how I like it.
Not very technical I know - and out of the crate I do find that, even running sticky...
I've started trail braking fairly deep at times into bends which means the whole car steers from the back and rotates. Also, inducing understeer on purpose in faster turns knowing that a very slight left-foot drag on the brakes mid-turn keeps the nose in.
That's the way I drive, so a standard...
I've worked with Sage Line50 for various companies for the last few years...does exactly what it says on the tin, is easy to get to grips with and not overly complicated from a "what the f*** do I know about accounts" point of view.
Me! Spotted at last...was just filling up before heading to Devon for the Airfield day...
Skinhead LOL? It's called letting your hair fall out gracefully...;)
He speaketh the truth.
I was solo, he was two up, so you can't have any of this weight nonsense either - barely a length in it after 400m.
But you did say you'd had something polished on yours Dan?
