Had a NIP for doing 41mph in a 30mph limit.
I thought "B******s! Why didnt the b2 warn me/I see it? Hold on, West Yorkshire...last Friday morning...Ive must have been cloned as I was at work".
Turns out the reg no. was wrong...it read his N at the end as my W.
Be sure before signing a NIP...
My thoughts exactly.
I told them I had one, but said the reason was for saving money come service time (which it is really). As it was almost a straightforward replacement there was no charge at all.
Better to be safe than sorry come total loss claim time...
Mine too, cold weather (as in freezing) only though. Think its a rubber grommet that just gets a bit stiff due to the cold.
Nothing a friendly blast of silicone oil couldnt cure if you could get to it?
A couple of good articles here for anyone thats not sure how to get started...

Nice cars them...
I couldnt agree more with this thread (34).
Surely it would be far, far cheaper for them to spend the money saved from not wheel-spinning everywhere on a tatoo that says "Notice me...PLEASE" right across their forehead.
It would achieve the same thing...95% of people...
LMFAO @ this :D
Has no-one ever considered that the root cause of the banging problem is asking for too much traction from the front wheels? Its not the suspension, or tyres, or traction control, or ABS that cause it...its a heavy right foot.
Take some time to learn/feel how the front wheels...
Theyre not all like that...Ive only had 2 things worked on under warranty, and both have been dealt with in a timely way and very efficiently.
I do vividly remember the "F*** me, this is mad!" feeling 5 mins after pulling away for the first time... great isnt it :D
It doesnt fade either...
I might have missed something on here lately, but in the advert wasnt he driving a Dci with a RenaultSport bodykit on it?
Is that a standard offering now?
Very :( if it is.
Take it to Mike172sport at Linningtons in Portsomuth Day...10% discount off everything, and the oil charge can be as low as £14 if you buy it over the parts counter before hand your keys in.
If theres a total loss claim, theyre going to have to cover the extra cost of those options (be them manufacturer fitted or otherwise) in what they payout.
Why should insurance companies take a premium based on a car costing £12500, and expect to have to payout £13000 when its totalled? Theyd...
I thought to appreciate and judge handling...you kind of needed to be sat behind the wheel? Or have you let numerous forum members have a long enough drive in your car to judge it for themselves?
Willy Williams - I can see totally where youre coming from, as I said earlier...its all...
Interesting points from all (and not the hornets nest it could have been Roy)... my thoughts...
In my opinion it all comes down to how you define "Handling" (which in itself is very subjective)?
To some, a car thats sprung so stiffly it shakes your fillings out "handles". To others, a car...
My Cup was registered on 25/11/03, and Im the second "owner" since 28/11/03... I dont feel thats a problem for me as when I come to sell it (if I ever do) itll be apparent to the purchaser that Im the real 1st owner (last change of ownership details on the V5)... theyre the ones that will have a...
Id recommend giving them a call Andy... Lynsey was my contact, and apart from the 5 month wait (thanks to the Renault summer shutdown I believe), they were true to their word.
Lynsey did also say that what was listed on the website was not a definitive listing, so a V6 may well be possible.
Not tried them Andy, but my Cup came through New-Car-discount.com
Good price, guaranteed part-exchange, and a five month wait :(
Worth it in the end though as I effectively had five months depreciation free motoring, covering 10,000 extra miles before the Cup arrived.
I dont look at the seats when Im sat on them.
I dont look at the wheel when Im driving... out the windscreen usually works best for me ;)
I lower my windows in the summer to keep cool (as I have done for the last 15 years).
I practice cadence braking to cover off the missing ABS.
I can...
