Got rained off for most of today fecking weather :dapprove:. Still, managed to pick up all the bits I need and get the new clutch in and the box back on.
Well I now have silky smooth and rather lighter than before clutch action so heres hoping it'll work.
I never knew that there was potential to cause damaged like this with them, just thought it wore the other mounts out quicker. Can't wait to get a standard 172 mount back in now. Would never use them again thats for sure!
Thanks for the offer mate its mucho appreciated :D but between me and my...
Just a heads up really, not saying this is the definitive but its its happened to me.
Basically from what I can see through the non-compliance of the powerflex bushes the hole which the mount bolts to has been substancially ovaled and the first three threads ripped out through where the bolt...
New clutch tomorrow and a few nuts and bolts and it should be back together tomorrow/wednesday. I hope! :o
Also a worrying discovery is that firmness of powerflex bushes seems to have damaged the thread where the dogbone bolts to the gearbox, will be rebuilding it with a standard mount.

Well it'll keep me entertained I guess :dapprove:.
Would prefer cash on collection really because it saves all the hassle and fees of paypal. Not desperate for it but don't want to be waiting for weeks.
Want them gone inside of a week really because they're just taking up space atm. But i'm flexible as long as its a resonable timescale.
Had the lighter of the two redone at laptab when I damaged them being a dickhead. The other two are the original coat which was done before I had them.
Back seat here too. No chance with sub and 2 amps in the boot. Used to just be able to squeeze them in before though.
Its a Clio though its hardly got a golfing boot.
Tread two of them about 2mm and the other two about 3mm, i'm just guessing here as I haven't got a tyre depth gauge. A good few thousand left in them with my driving anyway.
Well at 80+ you know its there, the other three 100% are fine though. And for the price they look like they'll go for I...
