Nope it'll make no difference, its just a legal requirement that cars fitted with xenons must have washers and auto-leveling. It used to be a only cars from the factory but VOSA have tightened up on it a lot, be ready to refit the halogens for your MOT. Thats what I had to do.

Nope the Cups/Trophy have blanking plates because they have standard halogen clusters in them, the FF has washers. Its a legal requirement to have them along with auto-leveling.

That a bad thing? :o Theres plenty of fog involved there so that won't help i'd imagine, and there the standard Renault clusters too! Easy enough to add washers, jets are about £8 each from renault. Just drill the bumper and run piping so they work with the screenwash.

Yeh basically it SHOULD fail the MOT because of the lack of headlamp washers and auto-leveling, although a few people have had MOTs with them in no problems. Whether or not the insurance would be that anal to try and avoid paying out I don't think so, as long as their declared I can't see it...

Theres a crossover period with the revised engines where they were using the old ones up btw, so some of the 53/04 plates will have the Ph2 engine.

Ph3 began in 2004, so there are some early ones on 53 plates the rest are on 04 plates and onwards.

Were/are they noisy? I get what I can only describe as a rubbery popping noise whenever I go over a speed bump from the front shocks, drivers side more than the passenger. Just wondering if i've got a knackered set because there still under warrenty, i've only had them 6 months. They've done...

QH are generally quite good, but it doesn't look like the rear discs come with bearings or abs rings?

You tend to have 195/50s not 195/55s, i've got them on my 15x7j superturismos and they slighty catch the arch liner at the back but other than that there fine -40mm(ish) too. There a damn sight cheaper than 185/55s as well.

Springs are about £130, Spring+Dampers about £275.

When I had my old 1.2 renault always gave me a complete new filter, not just the internal cartridge. Although I did wonder if you could just get that on its own.

Ditto, I find they don't do anything particularly brilliantly. Just do everything at a mediocre level. One of my mates has a 200SX with them in and when we went to japfest on saturday I couldn't believe how shite they sounded really. Amped components and a sub sounds soooo much better.

No because the Ph2 uses the UCH and canbus wiring iirc. So the dials are different, only Ph1 dials will work afaik.

If its a Ph2 then it'll be a JB3-979 gearbox (at least mine is) and you'll need to get a 1.6 one as the 1.2/1.4 use the JB1 box.
