I had a bit of whine from the aux belt when I changed mine even though its auto-tensioned, went away after about 40 miles I think. I assume it was just the belt etc bedding in a bit.
Does the headunit have a rubber sleeve on the metal stud at the back? I had to take the sleeve off my alpine just leaving the metal part or it wouldn't fit in the hole in the middle of that.
No it won't engage if theres no gas in the system as it uses the AC refridgerant to lubricate the pump. So get it regassed and you should be away, although get it leak tested first.
Yep RSi rear beam is the way forward if you want rear discs. Has to be an RSi one as the valver/williams axle has a slightly wider track due to the flared rear arches on them.
On the Ph3 1.6 which had the disc rear axle fitted as standard does that use a recalibrated ABS system to take into account the increased number of splines on the ABS ring or are the discs for it fitted with ABS rings with less splines?
And as the ABS system is standalone is it not a...
Well i'd have though the 200 would've had more being turbo'd and all but who knows, guess i'll have to go and try one. Trouble then is i've got a feeling i'll just end up buying it :dapprove:.
With all these things people keep saying about the 1.6 vs. 172 i've got a bad feeling i'm going to be disapointed with the speed jump when I drive/get one. Have driven a mates modified 200SX which is currently at circa 172 pace and tbh if thats how it feels i'm going to be really dissapointed...
If it'll pull to the limiter in 5th then its going to show an indicated 130-135 or so, whether your actually doing that is besides the point. But you can get that shown on the speedo.
We are on about HIDs, I wouldn't have payed £160 for some bulbs! I'm fully aware that there actually HID Xenons rather than just xenon filled halogen bulbs, but everyone calls them xenons rather than hids.
And you don't want to be putting those ~£90 ebay HID kits in the standard Mk2 Ph2>...
Bought them off someone on here for the absolute bargain price of £160, specialist renault breakers sell them for £350 a set. The whole lot from renault is circa £1k.
There are two bulbs in the inner optic, the main beam bulb is in there two. On my original halogen clusters the main beam is a H1 but on these its H7 :S. So yes they'll fit the standard lights and if there just bulbs then there 100% not hids lol.
The xenon bulbs are D2S bulbs in the proper...
Some shitty led ones from halfrauds, keep meaning to order some of those superbright ones off the net to replace them tbh. They look better than normal sidelight bulbs though I guess.
182 Xenon front clusters.

The Ph2 172 FF and 182 FF will come with them as standard.
