Top phone, never had any problems with mine. V4 improved what was an already awesome phone imo. Only downsides are the battery life and the slider should be sprung loaded.
Will deffo be getting an N95 next for sure.
The comps aren't exactly as simple as that to install btw, you've got to get over the problem of not easily being able to get cable into the doors.
Mine with my Alpine 9855R (crap photo but you get the idea):
If you remap a dCi100 whilst the power isn't a problem the torque is for the box thats used, hence why you can remap it for more power but have to limit the map. It doesn't used a JB3 box like the 65 and 80s its one from a 1.6 petrol laguna iirc.
Thats why its better to remap the dCi80, I can't...
Fancy an oil temp gauge so I know when the engines warmed up properly so it can have a good lump of cane. Obviously the K4M doesn't have an oil temp sender so i'm going to have to fit one somewhere.
Looking at whats avaliable on demon tweeks theres a couple of options, one is t-pieceing off...
Nope none of the Mk2 Ph1s came with climate. I miss it from my old 1.2 even though it used to fight me and do the exact opposite of what I wanted 9/10, but it was gadgety and cool as fcuk.
You should be fine, you've got about 2 1/2" of mounting depth before you need to chop the doorcard. The problem you may face is mounting width as it tapers down as it goes back and the vibe speakers are usually quite wide at the back.
I've found its good for putting your phone in, but thats about it. Used to have some car park barrier swipe cards in there when I needed to carry some.
As its an early Mk1 Ph1 it'll in all probability be using a carbed 1.4 energy engine which means no limiter, they'll just rev themselves to destruction. I bet it'll quite happily hit 90 in 3rd, wouldn't want to do it too often though as things will tend to go bang in spectacular fashion.
I've had the battery off millions of times and disconnected the UCH when I was fitting my alarm and never had a problem. You'll be fine.
Though if you need to fit a new one then it'll need to be programmed to the car, and if you remove it things won't work. Thats the point their making, its...
Some of the imports didn't come with a trip computer. If the dials had red needles and and 8k tacho/160mph speedo then it'll have a trip comp. Also has a silver dial surround.
I've seen them with expression/authentique dials in with white needles, black surround and only the 7k/140mph speedo...
Hmm, thought it was known as esp or varients of that with most manufacturers now afaik. Traction control only stops the wheels spinning, ESP trys to stop you stacking it.
