I've always took the hub bolts out first with mine and i've never managed to pop a shaft out, never really thought about it though so i'll be more careful next time!
Every job on the car always takes twice as long as you think, I remember when I fitted my alarm thinking it'd take me a few...
Side impact sensors can stay. Nope, you can't use a airbag computer from another car as each individual one is coded to the multiplex system of the car.
Renault will want to replace the computer which costs silly money to do, when I had a little fo par and triggered an airbag I sent my computer...
Oh and btw you'd be better off using hammerite and brushing it on rather than spraying and getting it everywhere. I used hammerite silver smooth as a few peeps have on here.
Never had any trouble with either of mine sticking on both the 1.6 and old 1.2. Still after reading that it gets a touch of grease worked in everytime I change the oil, smooth as silk.
I did my calipers silver, would do the drums black if I could be arsed. Don't really want to highlight the fact i've got rear drums. (yes, everyone with a Ph3 1.6 is a b*****d)
Went out tonight and made a few audio recordings of my own including a nice underbonnet one. There both pretty crap recordings especially the interior one as i've had to boost the sound and level was very low so it doesn't sound the best. The underbonnet one has alt-whine on it but you still get...
No you don't need to worry about the self leveling, the only difference is that your still be able to adjust the headlight on the dash whereas when factory fitted they auto level. Retro-fitting it isn't worth even thinking about due to cost involved.
So yup, a 172 Cup can have xenons fitted...
Renault will be able to supply you with a spare key for about £100 iirc. But it won't disarm the alarm no, laserline are shite anyway i'd get rid of it and replace it with something decent but thats me.
It's almost definetly an import by the way you describe it.
Edited above with size and where I got it from.
Its a bit ghetto but it works well. Am using black electric tape to seal it now too for the extra stealth effect :D.
102mm or there abouts I think, performance difference none I can tell and I don't expect there to be any. Noise difference massively, if you want to hear what it sounds like then take the resonator off and go for a drive it'll heatsoak like mad (which is why the ducting is needed) but it'll...
Well it has a 172 dogbone mount from the factory so i'd imagine the results would be very similar. Whether the front gearbox mount on the RS would make a difference I don't know, but it can't make that much of one as people complain about it.
Unless theres absolute boatloads of it and its on the dipstick and your loosing coolant its fine. Triat of the D4F due to its plastic rocket cover and moisure getting in, will be especially bad this time of year. Remember when I first found it on my old 1.2, almost s**t a brick until I found it...
