Same as any car, good indication is to stick in it 5th at 20/30mph and floor it. If the revs climb and the car doesn't accelerate then the clutch is slipping.
When I did the gearbox/clutch in my 1.6 I dropped the subframe with sent the alignment off, simple tracking job later it was sorted. With the 1.6 its because the rack bolts to the subframe and you can't get it back in the exact same position without some effort.
Benefits to VVT, well without a power/torque curve from a non VVT 1.6 and a VVT 1.6 I couldn't say anything for definite but generally speaking.
It can give a flatter torque curve and possibly more torque down the bottom end, also it may produce more power earlier in the rev band but not change...
Is this in a Mk2 ?
If so this is how i've done it, about as simple as possible:

Not sure if it'll make sense so just ask away if it doesn't.
As much as you may like it in the end it doesn't suite you anymore. The cost, time and effort needed to put a QS5 box in just isn't worth it. You'll be far better off the end selling up and buying something else.
Yep there coxials, not worth replacing with components. I've done it because I got bored one saturday afternoon and its not worth the hassle for the small (if any) sound improvement.
Well whats the difference between the unit on the back of the bulb and the unit on the bottom of the headlight ?
The one on the back of the bulb has 33kV printed on it which I assumed was the starter and the one on the bottom has 11kV or 1.1kV (can't remember) which I assumed was the ballast or...
Came with them on, what I did with them was spin on a roundabout in the wet and hit the outside curb luckily only slightly bending the bottom ball joint. Never again, simple as. Eagle F1s all the way in the future, thats whats going on as soon as their repaired (if they can be economically...
Yes, they'll go straight on. The Mk2 Non RS Clio needs to be ET37 offset and 4 x 100PCD. 7J is about as wide as i'd go as my 15x7s rub the rear arch liner slightly.
