You can't easily, its riveted to the dash. You just have to work round it and its a major pain in the arse if your using a decent size cable, I fought for about 30 mins to get my 4awg through but once you can get a good hand hold of it on the engine side its easy, its just getting it started.
It...
Not sure really, its about 10mm shorter when closed compared to my K700i which I think is roughly the same size ?
Is quite thick though, not that it bothers me having previously had a 6630 and a 6680 in sucession before this.
Got one yesterday from phones4u, got home and saw that I could get it from orange cheaper so I tried taking it back this morning. When I say tried I ended up walking out with it again and the same contract is now £25 instead of £40 so i'm happy with that.
Phone itself is f**king awesome, really...
I've managed to insure a 1.6 16v at 18 without any major hassle or expense (well £1k, not bad on the grand scale of things) so I can't see why you can't.
As long as you find an insurer that doesn't mind hybrids you'll be fine I would have thought.
Will be interested to see whats possible with...
Right i'm not bothered about the fact that it'll make little to no braking difference i'm just interested in what you would need to do it ?
No plans as of yet but depends on the feasability of it as to whether some are made.
Will have to keep my eye out sounds interesting.
Yeh will look a lot better when I sort it out properly, have got hold of a spare plenum from a scrappy and am going to butcher that for the oval connector part of it and get some decent caf ducting and it should take a more permanent less badgers...
Yeh i'm gonna sort something more permanent out when I can think of something, its off now anyway was just a trial to see if it would work.
What have you come up with in the way of a more permanent solution if you don't mind me asking ?
No the power cables not burnt, took the picture with me phone and its just how its come out.
The filters still there its at the back, its just the plenum i've removed which is essentially an empty box so it won't get crap in the engine.
The other end of the pipe goes to the standard intake...
It went from a 1.2 to this and its a rocketship in comparison, imo its a good warm hatch that doesn't really try to be one.
Its quick for the market it placed in but no one else thinks its anything other than a 1.2 because its exactly the same bar the side badges so theres plenty of fun to be...
Standard Engine Bay :
Right ever since getting the car I noticed that as the air filter is at the back of the engine then the plenum on the side of the engine is only there for noise damping, a quick drive with the plenum removed confirmed this as a mucho cool noise was produced :).
The...
Well it went back to Renault and had the throttle body replaced under warrenty, all problems solved so far.
Idles perfectlys and gives it a nice blip when it starts now instead of almost stalling.
Just so people know what caused it for me, wouldn't like to have to pay for it out of warrently...
You mean the numbers dissapear when you've stopped ?
If it does then theres something wrong because it shouldn't do that, the only reading where the numbers dissapear is the miles to go one which goes to dashes when your on the last gallon of petrol and the lights on.
Its probably the speed sensor on the geabox, poor connection or the terminals have rusted. Can be cleaned up if its not too corroded and usually works fine after.
When you change the filter, take the fuel rail cover off, its only two bolts and it makes the oil filter loads easier to get off gives you a bucket more room.
I find the fuel gauge isn't the most accurate thing in the world an its doesn't go down linearly, it'll stop at a point for a while before continuing to go down.
I wouldn't worry about it and just use the gauge and/or trip computer to know how much fuel you've got because i've never seen one...
As far as I know the screen is identical across the entire mk2 ph2/3 range, though I can't 100% confirm this.
The only different one will be the 182 with the different wiring for the cabasse hu.
Still, I think it'll be cheaper to get another hu off ebay that to get a dash screen.
Looking at a 172 steering wheel on ebay as the moment, but it doesn't come with an airbag. Will the airbag from my dynamique wheel fit fine or are they different parts ?
At the end of the day, if you want an aftermarket hu then the risk of it being pinched is one you've gotta take, nobody has made a complete takeout hu in years, there all face off.
What use is a complete out radio when your not at home anyway, you could hardly take it would you when your...
Yeh I went to look at a 1.6 initiale before I bought my 1.6 dynamique, has absolutely everything in it, leather, esp, cruise, heated seats, climate, 6cd, everything. Its the only car where you actually need to read the whole manual.
Didn't buy it because I can't stand the 2 tone interior and the...
I know a few people are insured with nu and it looks like i'm going with them as there coming back with the cheapest quotes bar the RAC but they only cover cosmetic mods so there off the agenda.
Was wondering how much people were paying for the mods on their car with them ?
Would ring up but...
That top middle pics hows how much I need to get me arse in gear and get the car lowered, you could hide illegals in that gap. :dapprove:
Good pics tho :). Must remember to bring my camera next time, always forget.
