Possibly a wheel bearing but thats more of a rumble and an inch of travel seems a bit excessive for a knacked wheel bearing unless its totally collapsed.
Yeh, i've done the same thing. Bought one of ebay with the cable for about £50, got the mounting bracket from renault for about £7, took about 30 mins to install from start to finish. The hardest part is running the cable under the carpet, though I probably would have been lost without the...
OK, you should be able to unhook the hose that feeds air into the airbox so you can get that out of the way. Then you should be able to get at the sensor now, if not then the bit of airbox still attached to the engine needs to be removed. The haynes isnt overly clear and I cant really see from...
Ill go grap some pictures of mine to show you where it means. Give me a few minutes.
Here ya go:

Yours is a D4F engine by the way.
Lookng at the old haynes manual it doesnt look too complicated so id personally have a bash at it. Can photograph the page if you want so you can see what to do. Just let me know. Im in nuneaton just north of coventry if its any help.
I usally go for just after 5,500rpm which should be just after peak power. For a 1.2 its no dragster but its not bad on the scale of 1.2s though youve got to keep the revs up otherwise itll bog down easily.
That industrial estate is literally 2 miles from my house. Pitty never knew it was happening, ive only got a 1.2 mind but could have come to envy over a few renaultsports.
Cant really fault the ZV3s so far, much better than the continentals it came with, though they were pretty much nackered when I got it so had those fitted last week. Theyre a lot quieter, hardly any road noise especially on new tarmac, they feel much more grippier in the corners so get pretty...
Probably because I only had them fitted a week ago, the previous ones had done 20000 miles and were getting rather more like slicks so I thought it was time to sort it out and boy what a difference it makes.

Yeh, its difficult not to (for me at least), need to get the vinyl cleaner on it when it gets washed.
Was bored so I went for a drive in the country and thought id take the digicam with me to get a few artsy pics of the car. Nowt spectacular but I thought id share them with you lot anyway. And yep, its in need of a serious cleaning session but bad weather has stopped me for a week...

Just looking at the picture can you tell if thats the correct bracket for a clio ?
Not sure if it came out...
Hi all, managed to get hold of the standard renault vdo cd changer of ebay for my clio. Im wanting to install it under the passenger seat as it comes factory fitted, its come with the bracket installed and the complete cable. The only question ive got is how ???
Looking at it, it looks to be a...
Its definetly the outside temp, when I got in my car at work in the car park it was reading 34c. After driving about 5 miles down the road it was 29c, so it does seem to suffer from wind chill a bit. Though I think 29c was more accurate than 34c so I dont think it makes it incredibly inaccurate...
Hi,
Ive got a 2001 clio 1.2 dynamique and im looking to upgrade the audio from the standard cd player, ive been looking round at adapters for dash display and the steering wheel controls. Ive managed to find the Connects2 DRNS003 adapter which seem to be the one that will enable me to use the...
