    Clio 200 Eats GT3's

Amen. I've gone past several quicker cars on track. Mainly because I've got a bit of experience, I don't mind if I go off, and I know my car inside out. Not caring too much about the car is worth a fair chunk of time on track!

    Clio 200 Eats GT3's

A Porsche gt3 is quicker than a Clio 200. The end.

    Supercharged or turbo??

I prefer the delivery of sc, so would be that for me.

    R.I.P. Panzer Bean

TBF, we all react the same way. Once we've decided to change, all the minor faults that don't bother us normally seem magnified. And any faults with the new car, are easily ignored. Always the way. My 306rallye was a rattling, tapping, shed of a car. With a heavier clutch than an F40. But all...

    R.I.P. Panzer Bean

I think I've been freakishly lucky with my heap. 85k miles, numerous track days, and f**k all rattles. But, having taken a few interiors apart, the Ph1's do seem a bit more solid in a few area's, like the steering cowl being screwed together rather than wobbly clips.

Are Acer any good? We can get a 25% discount on them.

    Ph1 172 CAT

There are 2 ph1 cats, twin lambda and single lambda. Make sure you get the correct one for your exhaust, the single lambda one is shorter.

    Laptop advice

Our laptops just given up the ghost, so need another. Will only really be used for downloading (legally;)), browsing, bit of word processing. Nowt fancy. Any advice? Not hp, any other brands considered.

    Ph1 172 Flamer Track/Road car

Yes fella. They're ok, but I'd like some pro race 3's.

    Ph1 172 Flamer Track/Road car

Just a quick pick from today. Since last updated, now has new wheels (for now), KW V2's, Whiteline rear ARB, and a cf splitter. Sorted a mysterious misfire (lambda), so shall be booking another track session soon.

£3k... Can a decent 172 be bought for this? :-)

Depends what you want. If it's a toy, are xenons important? I'd go for the best condition car you can get regardless of ph1/2.

    Time To Change?

Revels and Ali say white. You know this means black is the way forward. Think about it.

    Mobiles bought in the US

Will they work over here? After a Nokia 6700, guessing would be cheaper over there.

    Opinions please

Splitter fitted today, not perfect, so fits right in with the rest of the car

    choice of exhausts

Fella, if you compare the fit to a yoz/prospeed I think you'd be shocked. Mine sagged by an inch at the centre mount, popped the yoz on without changing the mounts, and it's snug. Sooooo heavy in comparison.

    choice of exhausts

I had a ktec stealth, I've seen w3eeb's prospeed. Has to be the prospeed. The fit was vastly better. If you want the lightest system, yozza stealth. Not cheap, but featherweight.

    Tyre pressures r888

Lolz. If it's wet, oulton can be a mare. Inside of the 1st corner gets a nice puddle that can catch you out. I just wouldn't bother with r888's in the wet.

What do you think of these.......

These have been around for a while iirc? Where is the Mic? All the one's I saw prev were lhd based, so the Mic was on the wrong side/

    Toyo TR1's for track use?

I'm not a fan tbh. These are a bit pricier, but much better wet/dry/track. http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m53b0s99p15202

new to the scene , really fancy a 172 cup , what s the best clio to buy

But there's no point fella. It's barely lighter than mine, (30kgs?) and I wouldn't buy a car without ABS when there's an equivalent with it.
