I wouldn't pay any attention to that. Airbags are only really an issue if you have glass lenses, as they tend to shatter. Not really an issue with plastic lenses.

It was in this condition, but the belts had been done and mechanically it was sound. Since buying I've done the seats, changed the steering wheel, the wheels, exhaust, and coilovers. Most of that was through choice though.

For the money, do what I did. I was running a Trophy and a ph2 172. Sold them both, purchased a ph1 172 (low miles, 40kish) that needed work, and spent a bit of cash on it. Best decision I ever made. The best Clio I've owned (prev a ph2 172, a 182cup, ph2 172 again, Trophy).

I agree with Mark. You do need more training. Everyone does. Not having had an accident proves nothing. My old grandad had no accidents for 20yrs. Mainly because he drove everywhere at 40mph, I'd imagine. Didn't mean he was a good driver.

A good point. But they were designed for big power. The focus has the revoknuckle and lsd, yet I'm told still torquesteers. Yet a clio with a 10yr old design doesn't. Why did Ford waste all those millions on R+D?? The VXR has 240ish bhp. And is s**t to drive lol.

You're not reading clearly. No-one's denied it would be very, very fast. Merely questioning the point of a very, very fast FWD car? Will it be any more enjoyable because it's faster in a straight line? Not for me. Other will enjoy that, fair enough. And honestly, who would care if your clio was...

There's a big, big difference. Understeer is horrible. Oversteer is not. You can complete the corner with oversteer. In fwd, you have to back off.
