Later cars they deleted it from spec 53 or 54 it was reg ones Its to #save money the french only need one lock on there driers door but they didn't make it any different for us Uk owners.
I don't see the huge issue realy to many people taking it out of context.
Next Renault will have to put a note saying don't put diesel in petrol cars. and check your tyres they can leak air.
Check the connector from the door to the car boy (there a big plug) also check the fuses then take the door pasnel off anc check sounds like the wiring has come astray.
Bets get it plugged into a CLip computer also check your spark plugs and coil pack might be bust.
Check the wiring at the back of the engine there a metal clip/box type thing the wires under it short often and cause problems.
On the top of your suspension strut the back of it under the bonnet will be catching on ther bodywork of the car. The fix is either to grind away some of the cars where its catching or put some spacers onto the strut top so it doens't catch.,
Any Clio engine will just need to chnage all the wiring looms in the cabin and engine etc realy plus in 172 cases ideal the suspension and brakes and hubs etc,
Stock are fine.
I've fitted some black dimond reciently to a 1.2 16V and they were good. Not my cup of teas don't like fancy stuff but it is very good (not for the money though as you don't need it).
Nope no problem with that sort of kit other than IMO its to hard a ride and its to cheap built as its to hard.
Most dampers stuffs rubish you need to get coilovers ideal H and R but thats £740 or so.
I've said it for ages noone takes any notice.
I'm unfortunatly awaiting someone to have a crash who has harnesses mounted on the lower seat belt position to have back injouries now.
I'm surprised yours has happned so quickly compaired to others but its bound to happen the mounts are weak...

There was a few Clio Mk2 phase 2 body kits availibale at the time they weren't cheap though. They didn't look that good unless the car was lowered as it make the car lok unusually high.
It does both at once.
The wahser ball on the unit leak often there not an ideal design best idea is to superglue them in place when they work otherwsie there prown to poping out.
