Take the top of the dask off its there in the center from memory.
Ype new shocks if there leaking are warently job.
£100 to chnage one thats a rip off new shock are £50 then no more than an hour to change if your very slow.

Check the battery alos check the connections on the back of the dashboard and the earth on the dasboard.
There a few problems maianly down to crashing them.
The early cars are in the Haynes manauls. SOme stuff for the later one in the llater Haynes manuals
The later ones well you'll have troubel getting the diagorams onyl a few people have it most dealership's don't have them.

What the Clip software? In which case forget it £3k or so for the cable and computer box. If you're on about the dialogues software doesn't do compunications with the computer.

The dci's are quite difficult often regards mapping and due to there high cost unless you've got a spare or want a project forget it there to expensive to fiddle with.

Its the resiter pack common problem.
£85 for a new one its under the scuttle panel of the car. You can fix your old one up but unless you know what our doing forget it

Well if what your satings right it doens't need one as long along as the leaks not bad it won't fail MOT.
650 is still money get a second hand engine for £200 or so then fitted for a few hundred.
1) You shouldn't be racing
2) The ideal chnage up point which vaies on the dcis is about 4.2k in second first is 4.5k or so 3rd abouit 4.1 and the same for the rest of the gears you want to maxmumis power on the curve.
Its the rpm you need to think of 5k is quite high but thats the redline...
Clutch protects the box, I belive black Kro had trouble with it as the remap did give to much torque for the clutch.
