    Water might have got to ECU etc. Unlikly the fuel light though. You need someone to read the fauls the engine has might be TDC problem

    Yep but the full fat gearboxes don;'t have speedo sensors in them since there speed comes from the ABS system the Cup has a speedo sensor in it since there no ABS system. You can yuse a full fat but you'd have no speedo moving.

    Stock suspension is fine IMO. No point ungrading if your happy when you get bored change.

    tdc sensor

    It will be betwen the engine and gearbox on the top. If you take it out it should read 200ohm +-50ohms check the distance between it and the wheel is 1mm +-0.5mm.

    Engine doesn't like starting. If problems when warm chck the temperature sensor. Renault only part, you might find others selling it but not worth bothering IMO.

    New Clutch??? Help

    £315 a bit steap £250 I'd say more reasonable including them supplying clutch. Gear selector is adjustable try some specilist gearbox places they are usualyl much better value. I'd not expect your clutch to be worth check the mounts etc first.

    Common problem. New wheel or get to work with the superglue the inserts arn't availiable seperate. Try breakers yards for a cheaper on if you want.

    Renault won't even give all there Rencualt dealerships/techies the info so there no chnage for a regular customer. I don't see a problem in them refusing to sell them. You can get a lot of wiring connections etc from the dialogues.

    Cambelt is £150 I think some specilaist do it for water pump etc is a pian space wise but can do done in situe as such.

    Cups due out later next year. The engine won't be a detuned 197 engine its the old 2.0 so no fancy stuff no remap etc will get it to 197hp most lily best way to do it is to use a 172 head etc with cams and intake work.

    Theres a few 172 phase 2 and even more pahse 1's over 100k now. Theres a Phase 1 with 200k+ apparently. I've got 77k on my dci.

    You can tell by driving if its a .8 or 2.0 the 2.0 has power at low revs the 1.8 doesn't.

    You can buy illegal copies of some auction websites all the time. Its used by the Renault techies to fix common problmes find part number and prices common fixes for problem some wiring pinout data is there also flow charts for problems. It covers the whole Renault range.

    Comma oil - good enough?

    Doesn't matter 10-40 is fine unless outside temps drop under -20. Standard vauxhall oil ins't bad though I've used it a lot before plus trade prices on it is dirt cheap its almost as cheap as fuel.
