There's no way to convert the original ecu to run the cam phase sensor signal mate I'm afraid.
If you run a gen90 ecu (like I will be) I can tell you what pins need to see a signal for it to work.
I've known about it for a while mate tbh, but it's only now that I'm being affected by it! A048's...
Epas column can come from a 1.2 or 1.5 mk2 Clio. Just make sure you get the stuff that bloke has listed above all from the same car, oh and make sure you get the lower half of the column too! The 1*2 one isn't removeable.
To fit it is a relatively straightforward job. Pinch bolt at the rack is...
So, trackday tyres are/have lost their E marking and are coming with 'competition use only' stamped on the sidewalls.................Well that f***s the touristenfahrten driving at the 'ring then.
The new R888R is an E marked tyre and will also be available in the size I'm after (205/45-16)...
See above mate. Lol - not fully interested, but there's enough come back to make me consider going in the garage.
You could pretty much run this on your standard loom and ecu mate tbh. I'm only talking about starting it up though as the fuelling will be way out.
Wiring wise you need an ecu...
It's still going to take me a while mate to get it done as I'm really not rushing at all now. It'll be a case of if I get up in time in the afternoon and I've got nothing else on I'll go in the garage.
Cheers. It's certainly something very different to what you usually see that's for sure.
The plan is to have a proper attack at the 'ring in it next year now. I've sacked it off for this year. Maybe do a track day later on in the year to judge it's performance/get a feel for it again.
Not f**king likely! I'll only get 3 days on it next week because holiday and I've got to do some tyre shopping as well. Demon Tweeks are giving me a good discount on them. Not that they know that yet though. Lol!
Nah she knows that doesn't work with me mate! Lol! Just got the tut and look of disapproval! Tbf, they went up the inside of me at 100+, so they really were asking for trouble.
Yeah true. Winter always see's the bargains come out to play as well. The lads I know with bikes haven't even had theirs out this year either, and after a couple of legends went up the inside of me when the wife was in the car, well you can imagine! Lol!
There's one of these being built with an Evo engine and running gear. 1000+ hp as well.
There's quite a few that have been converted to gtr engine and running gear as well.
Yeah I don't doubt that at all mate. The one I saw though was poor to say the least.
Nah your not going to achieve anything by fitting a ph1 loom mate, other than causing yourself unnecessary grief. Trimming these looms back is fraught with danger as well. I've seen more failures from people...
I had to go out to a truck one night that had hit a deer, and poor old bambi was in the engine bay! Lol! It got recovered in so one of the lads gutted bambi and we got a fair few venison steaks out the job. Winner winner! Venison dinner!
Well from what I've seen of some of their looms that was possibly a blessing in disguise also mate. They may well do looms to suit budgets though, so this would explain the quality of the one I saw.
I've just stripped my original cup loom back and it's getting ready to be re-covered with...
If they want it, they will take it. Doesn't matter if you put the keys inside your arsehole mate. Majority of these cars are 'stolen to order' anyway, so unfortunately there's always potential to have a knife held to your throat until you hand over the keys.
Back in the day my old boss had his...
