Yeah that's what I'm on with at present mate. They're certainly the 1st choice over the 888's anyway.
Don't suppose you've run them before have you? If so, any setup data like pressures and stuff?
I'm led to believe that there's a in tank pressure regulator on the ph2 so that's how the fuel pressure is regulated.
Yes you could run a ph2 pump in a ph1.
Make sure your sitting down when you look at the price of the carbon airbox...........and your missus ain't there! Lol!!
I'm setting the bar high??? Not looking at your build I'm not! Lol! Keep up the good work mate. I enjoy the read and attention to detail.
Ha ha! I never realised anyone was following it tbh! Cheers for the positive comments though. The inlet is a 197 inlet manifold and the airbox is a Clio R3 maxi Evo off the 197 rally car.
No worries mate. I asked @Cub. to do the sticky in the track/race car section of the forum as I really don't want to see someone get hurt from a incorrectly installed harness! It's not good karma!
Ha ha ha! Yeah tell me about it mate!
Which bit mate? The car or the engine? The cars been done...
I still make the noises for mine now! Lol! The engines never even run yet, so I've got to keep the interest alive somewhere!
This is what I used for info regards the harnesses mate - http://www.msar.co.uk/pdf/UsersGuideRacingHarness.pdf
Very informative and covers the hans stuff too. It's down...
That's from the breather plate seal or the rocker cover seal or the rocker cover bolts I'd imagine mate. Breather plate and rocker cover bolts are simple to sort. Rocker cover not so much!
Did you sit there and hold on to a pretend steering wheel and gearstick making brum brum noises too? I would've done. Lol!
So one question for you, how come you've put the lap belt harness mounts that far apart? I'm going off what I read when I mounted my schroth harnesses and it said no more...
Yeah that pipe that's blocked off in your pic needs to be blocked off on a 182 inlet manifold instead. If you don't it'll rev itself and you'll have a 5k+ idle speed!
Oil around the piece sticking up isn't totally normal mate, but a small amount is no issue.
The one you've pictured is a 172 head and the carbon canister is connected to the pipe that's currently blocked. The other piece that's sticking up isn't there on a 182.
You'll need a 182 upper inlet I believe if your running a 182 head. The carbon canister is connected up to the rear of the...
It depends who sets them up mate tbh. Prices vary, but you want to get the whole geo setup when its corner weighted ideally.
Alternatively I can set up your geo after the corner weighting if you want?
Would've been able to do the corner weighting at one point, but my scales went kaput.
Yeah they're all the same box mate if it's a jc5 129 as you need the speedo drive.
The code is stamped on the underside of the casing at the 5th gear end. It's in the front edge so easy to locate as the pic below shows.
Lol! Road legal ftw! We could attempt to coincide it with the Rs day at spa.
No mate unfortunately not. The tyre situation may well be sorted now though. Will update on that in the next few days.
No tyres are illegal mate. It's only if they don't come with the E marking on them that they become not road legal. It will be quite some time before old E marked stock runs out as well, so I wouldn't let it concern you at all. I've only come up against this issue now due to the tyre size I'm...
