sounds like the fuel rail heat shield, is it right at the front??? if so its got deep holes at the front of it with a 10mm sized nut down 2 of them- do it up with a deep socket and short extension bar 3/8 fits down there nice! or just take it back to reno under warranty!
practise, practise, practise. and remember the unimpressive looking lap is usually the fastest. driving about wheels smokin and thowing it about doesnt get you anywhere except the gravel trap.
one thing ive noticed, most people tend when they are inexperanced to try to go round slow corners...
that wasnt spanking the limiter!! thats just the reminder to change gear!

dont flush the coolant system with anythig other than straight water, chemicals wreck seals. re-fill 50/50 with good antifreeze with corrosion inhibitors (i reccomend millers) use 10w40 semi synthetic oil (millers again). and only fit NGK plugs, nothing else will do in my opinion (12 years in...
i found the prob on the 19!!!!!!! at last just finished!!!!!
a small peice of plastic had broken off inside the aibox and was blocking the intake pipe completely on right handers and moving back when you turn left!!!!!! couldnt beleive it!!! its fine now no problem at all!!

nice of them, when theyve done it, take it home whip the plug leads off (one at a time- so you dont loose the order!). and spray them and the plugs liberally with duck oil (wd40, plusgas, whatever you got)
major loss of power (hesitation) then it picks up straight away, the hesitation occours on turn in but only on sharp turns

idles fine, startes first turn, no hesitation in a straight line and plenty of power! its an odd one, however im probably missing the bleedin obvious:sleep:
r19 16v keep trying to cut out on roundabouts or sharp corners, its my mates car,
checked:
tank & stack -ok
fuel pump and connections -ok
fuel filter and lines -ok
throttle position sensor wiring was burnt, replaced sensor and wiring
all other electrics appear fine

ive taken both cars (well mines a 172) round silverstone and the clio is the better package, the civic did a slightly faster lap time once but i had no confidence in the car! i just couldnt stay committed, the clio gives me supreme confidence and full committment in every corner! and i kept...
the ctr needs to have the tits revved off it all the time, it does out perform the clio, only just. BUT
ctr: difficult to keep revs high enough all the time through the twisties, horrid gear lever position- i keep missing gears!. rubbish looks and rubbish interior.
clio: NASTY DRIVING...
