the oily residue is from the crankcase ventilation that goes in the bottom of the throttle body (it pulls a little from there 'cos its closest to it) the rocker box breather goes to the charcoal canister :)
i think the rear one would work if it was a trangular affair welded to the turrets and then to the rear of the car. would'nt leave much room for shopping tho!

its not an oil breather (if we are talking about the same one) it goes to the iscv and therfore needs to be where it is. the ccv goes in the bottom of the throttle body (if i remember correctly)
but get it looked at quickly cos they grow!
chipps in zone a can be repaired but its hard to completely remove a crack! just reduce it and stop it growing
the service lamp on the clio does'nt mean it needs a service, it means an item needs attention. i.e service lamp and brake caution= you fluid is prob low (your brakes need attention)
the service lamp always lights with another, same as the stop lamp
if it came on with the abs lamp, it probs...
who knows what goes thru designers minds! but if they make it work well, i for one don't question it! point of intersest a straight 6 is the most balenced engine. most commercials (my area) are straight 6's and v's are only usually employed where space is of a premium. although scania are...
