Renaults are sh!t. I find that it is like a game of hide and seek. Whenever a set of spanners are even remotely near by, something breaks and I then have to find it, when I do, it costs me even more money.
Could be promising. I'll see what I can dig out of the garage.
I just need to watch the corners with the weight in the rear. I went a bit wild testing the new springs and split a bottle of Coke on the front seat runner, the car smells like a sugar factory now.
Pins on that ho' ^^^.
That looks more like it.
Does the height on mine look about right for day 1 of fitment? I hope to god they settle down as I've just sold the Apex.
More pics would be great.
I certainly hope so. Have you got a side on of yours to compare?
As good as the Apex were, the ride wasn't the best. I counted 5 coils on the Apex and 7 on the Eibachs. I think standard is only 6.
After much fun yesterday and finding a split inner CV boot, the springs are now swapped.
I'm not entirely convinced by the rear but the front doens't look to have changed. The ride is much improved, possibly better than standard and the handling seems to be just as good.
I miss the lowness...
Cheers Sami, where is the roll pin?
I can see the cylindrical section of the shaft half way down. There is then a plate bolted just behind this then the shaft carries on into the box.
Hanging off you're every word here Frederico. I'd prefer the repair option.
How exactly does the drive shaft come out. I can pull it in and out but it won't pop. Is there a circlip or roll pin anywhere?
Is the boot a Renault only job?
Now then guys. I'm in the process of swapping springs on mine and a mates Clio and I noticed my drivers side drive shaft boot has split. It is the boot that is half way along the shaft and mates to a metal cylinder containing bearings.
How do I go about removing the shaft? I have unbolted...
