Im undecided what to do. I like the idea of a cup, but much prefer the look of the valver. I could either buy a standard cup or hybrid my valver, subtle styling mods and get it re-sprayed. Hmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions.
What would you do in my position????
Ive got a clio 16v and a W plate golt gti 20vT and i love it. Its so smooth and effortless to drive. The recaro interior is beautiful. The engines are strong and reliable and can easily produce lots more horsepower (upto 400bhp) Im lead to believe. Plus the golf will hold its money a lot more...
Im sorry but excessive speed like 50 + in a 30 and they should throw the book at you. As for 80 in a 30 theres absolutely no excuse for that, You should of had your licence taken away from you on the spot.

Ive got a Clarkson DVD where he puts it up against a Alfa Evo 6 and Subaru. He said for handling its the jap cars but for pure fun and balls out power it has to be the BMW. He was raving about it.
I was just thinking about getting a new rear quarter. I saw one on ebay about 3 months ago. it went for £150. I might do it properly and get a rear quarter. Would prob work out a bit more expensive but better in the long run. Am planning on keeping the car for a few years so want the car sorted...
Can you still buy clio 16v rear quarter panels?
My drivers side arch is fooked. Its also started bubbling up behind the drivers door now. Dont know wether the best option is to get it all cut out or to source a new drivers side rear wing. Hmmmmm

Your only allowed to drive it without a MOT if your driving it to a garage that its booked in at. Just driving it around is not covered.
Just get a MOT straight away and say you couldnt find the old one as mentioned above.
Lovely kit too. Ive just put my valver up for sale to buy my mates RS turbo. If I dont sell it in time then my plan is to buy a full joker 2 kit.

1.8 16v had it for 3 1/2yrs and im wanting turbo power now. Am looking for a Escort RST to tune to 200bhp. No laughing, I loved my mk4 Escort before my clio and would quite happily have one again. I could go buy a cup but cant really justify the money, would rather spend 3k on a RST and 2k...
I delivered some phase 2s to a lad from this forum there today. Didnt realise there was a meet until someone in a cup pulled alongside and asked if thats what I was there for. Very nice cup too. I didnt stop as id made other plans plus im shy. I was in a blue N reg valver with 17" 5 spokes...
Did you use a hair dryer/heat gun to heat the sticker? That way it would of come off with out the heated rear screen strips.
Although as mentioned above you can buy the liquid metal repair kits.
Going to service the car myself this weekend so what do I need?
Plugs, oil filter, oil, rotor arm, distributor, fuel filter anything else? Leads are ok so dont really need changing. Pads are ok too.

I tried for about 3 weeks to get some ended up with standard mounts. Used to be a place in london who done them but they went bust 2 years ago they were the only place I found and also a local race outfit who do 205s could find also.
