I have a list of programs a friend would like me to 'acquire' for his graphics degree course. Programs like PS, Illustrator etc. Can I 'acquire' the normal version or does it need to be Mac specific?
It is a noticeable gain mate. I tried a map which turned out to have 2 more bhp but only about 6bhp gain in torque and it definately felt flatter than the map I have now.
I would say it definately feels quicker and that has also been said by a friend of my dads who has a boggo 172. He said it...
pmurray on here does a Megane 225 remap. Pauls car went up to 268bhp with similar gains in torque. Not sure of prices but PM jonnyboy or pmurray and I am sure they will be able to help you out.
Sainsburys 97 because it only costs 2p more a litre than 95.
IMHO, all this 98 stuff is over hyped. The price difference of a full tank of Ultimax does not justify the extra 'power' or 'cleaning' qualities that they are supposed to offer.
With the 6-7p a litre saving you would have by using the...
I can't see dropping a subframe being that big a deal. Might take a weekend but I can't see it being hard.
As for the cost, could you not get a custom 4-2-1 made up for about the same price in stainless? I was discussing this with a mate who is building a 300bhp mk1 Golf G60 16v and he said he...
I was offered a set the other day by a bloke I have dealt with on Ebay. He is getting them in next week but hasn't confirmed a price yet.
I will let you know what they come back at as I want Cup Turinis.
Here you go mate: http://cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=99497&highlight=intake+mod
I'm going to do the manifold at some point but I will be doing it myself. The intake mod does look effective though and I will be having it done after xmas.
You should start lubing mate if you are considering that. You could get a 182 manifold for 200-250 and acustom decat pipe to fit your exhaust for £75.
That doesn't work out at £800 LOL.
9 Gees is a bargain for that if that is your cup of tea.
What would a Cup cost - 7.5k?
Kit 2k?
Paint 1.5k?
Wheels 1.2k?
That's 12.2 already. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't buy it but it does seem quite cheap, standard Cup's come up at 9k.
Not a problem. If you PM Matt on here (username Team Think) and explain that you want a 70mm bore 90 degree elbow for your 172, like the one he sold Len_Beach if he is unsure. The part will come with equal lenght legs so one side will need cutting down but it's a small price to pay when it...
A Superleg' weighs about 14kg including tyre which, compared to the standard mk2 172 wheel 17kg is very light. They are very soft though I have heard.
As for the colour, I have no idea, they have been around for a while though so it may be true.
TBH mate, you are better off with an SMT6 or Dastek piggyback ECU which is set up specifically to suit your car. Off the shelf chips are good if you plan on doing nothing else but each time you change a variable, you are not extracting the maximum from your vehicle. The like of the SMT6 and...
Welcome to the forum mate. Are these the Turinis being sold by Vansloafers form Keighley currently at £255. I ask as I was going to bid on these but obviously don't want to bid against a fellow forum member as it will unnecessarily inflate the price.
I sincerely doubt that. Imagine the cost of removing the ECU, sending it away to the manufacturer for someone who actually knows what they are doing to have a look at only to find that 99.9% would return as standard. It would just add more cost to paying out.
Cheers Andyman. I wasn't initially planning on changing the shocks but may well do. I thought about coilies but I can't really justify the outlay.
I think it will be the Apex.
What shocks have you got and how much were they?
Have a look on these threads mate:

Sorry to drag up an old thread guys but I'm on the lookout for some Turinis for my 172.
So a standard wheel is 17kg inc. tyre, that is 68 kg all in. A Turini was quoted earlier at 8.4kg, not sure wether with our without tyre. That is 33.6 KG for all 4 if that does include tyres.
That would...
