Not really, no, because if I was really that sad as to want to go as fast as is humanly possible I wouldn't be in a Clio. I'd be sat atop an aluminium fuel tank, on one wheel, giving them the finger and STILL pulling away from them.
The only Clio that is anything other than a daily driver is...
Torque makes most of the difference - Similar story with Clarkson's Zonda/XJ220 race. Pagani is lighter/more powerful, Jag has turbos and torque.
And a lot of you have missed that I was stereotyping : ok, there are exceptions, but seriously, drive around Notts Trent Uni and Derby. You see cup...
Don't go dogging - several reasons:
a) I have standards - my car is far too good for any girl I'll pick up in Derby.
b) I have a bed. That's what it's for.
c) I tend to be drunk when I'm looking for women. I tend to realise they're a waste of time when I'm sober!
d) They see it as a Clio...
Just now on the run to gym and back (via Chinese - you don't do all that work to get thin - it's a good excuse to stuff yourself!) I've managed to average 24 - you can imagine how I was driving!
Because he's making b****cks points.
If you prefer your Cup's driving experience then I can't argue with that. What I don't agree with is people trying to make out that the weight difference makes a difference on the road. It doesn't. End.
ON THE ROAD you blind fuckwit. In a race, yes, there is a difference. Unless you're special, you do 90% of your driving minimum on a road. Therefore, no difference. You don't get to line up Santa Pod/2F2F style and drag race all the time, and if you do you prove my point that you're an...
Woooo! Probably a million posts like it but I managed a run from home in Derby to Sunderland and back today averaging a whole 42mpg!
Pics to follow tomorrow, but I just had to tell the world how chuffed I was with it!
And the car was excellent - not a light out of place and I don't have...
That'll be leather and alcantara? And yeah, except that makes it infinitely more comfortable.
And in response to your touring car post, ffs you idiot. Clios are road cars. Anyone that tries to argue otherwise need to look at the suspension design and have a good long think as to whether...
Wow. Wonderful. I sat in a set and while they hugged you nicely, I did 500 miles today and got out this evening and went to the gym. I couldn't do that in my old Smart and they were good seats - and just sitting in the Recaros I knew they weren't going to be able to do it either.
So, summed...
Flame it all you like! (Not aimed at you!) It's purely down to my belief that until you get to 100-200kgs, the weight of your car makes no difference on the road when power output is the same. Add to that that for the 80-odd kilograms I've gained a fantastic set of seats - ok, it's only a Clio...
In my opinion (and this is mine, nobody elses) you buy a Cup because you can't afford the decent ones. I don't think anyone can seriously argue that it's a raw, faster, more exciting experience. I can have a raw, fast and exciting experience in mine - while I have my better lights to see where...
Drove past on at least two occasions, both times nearly causing an accident paying more attention to me detailing my sister's Corsa and shouting 'Loser' than where he was going...
My 182 on the road that you drove past, just like to point out that while I may have been on my own cleaning...
If you're going to all that trouble, just get a 5-port ethernet switch and run the ethernet cable wherever. Remember you'll need 2 extra ethernet cables though! One for each machine. Saves moving all the kit around.
While I think they look the dangly-bits that low, I hope you realise you've probably reduced all out grip and comprimised handling for that?
As long as you realise that though, they look sweet as!
You've probably got an oldish house with proper walls. Had a problem with one of my customers that her walls were that bad her wireless signal was unusable at the far end of the next room.
Short of Powerline, which I've had varied results with, No. You can't do much.
Then there's something wrong with your router. The computer/router connection is completely seperate to your broadband speed. You're barking up the wrong tree - your hardware is s**t or you've pissed about with the settings. My broadband is 2meg (live in the sticks), my router shows 27** down...
Not bad - there seems to be the odd bargain floating about in stealers at the moment - I picked up my '54 182 with 9000 miles on for just over 9500 crisp ones, with 6 months tax... Can't be too bad as they gave me a great trade in as well!
Welcome to the 5000rpm club :)
On the grounds that my boss has a spanking R32 which he avoids me in because he's worried of the outcome, I think it's safe to say the GTIs in any guise don't have a chance...
I'll go out on a limb and say if it's got any graphics interface other than the old PCI bus it'll be AGP - AFAIK you need a 9xx chipset to get PCI-E. As you'd imagine, 82845G is the Intel 845 Chipset with onboard graphics, capable of not alot.
Next step is to have a look inside and see if it...
