Hello,
Never attempted anyhing like this before, although i have done other things like servicing and brake pad change, so i'd like to have a go at fitting this my self, not least because my GF bought me some nice new tools.
Any who, i'd like some advice/ guide on how to fit them.
On...
My house mate was about to buy a car last week and I asked him if he had done a HPI check. He said 'whats a HPI check' lol. We went on the tinter web and did a HPI check and the car came back as a CAT D!!!!!!!!!
My house mate learn't a lesson that day, incidently he also crashed his car that...
looks good, and I guess you can make it as hard core as you want by not choosing air con etc.
Looks like a much better package then previous cups.
My package choice would be: white colour, speedline matt black alloys, recaro's and no air con.
i'd love this as a project. I think 1.5k-2k would get it back on the road in tip top conditon.
I think if you bought it for £1k that wud be about right.
Most days I go by the name of fuel slut, but yesterday @ Cadwell I was a liquid yellow slut lol. Here are some pics I took of the Liquid yellow festival.
Enjoy, comments welcome:
Hey Ali thanks for the ride, and my bad for getting us black flagged:o If I had known I would not have done it... I guess you live and learn, but anyway it was worth it, got a sweet vid. Ill post it up ASAP.
Hopefully next time ill be chasing you round in my ph-uick track wepon. ;)
Cruise control does use more fuel, it basicaly throws petrol into the engine until the correct speed is reached. So going up motorway hills you will see people without cruise control drop behind and people with cruise control fly up the hill!
Cruise control maintains speed at all costs...
8/10, Couple of niggles have let it down and having to take it back to the dealer for a few things. Build qulaity isn't great either, my GF's corsa seems much better quality wise.
Apart from that im very happy with it and it has never let me down.
Interesting, I would not call your 197 a poverty spec! still got lots of equipment.
Personaly im a 197 lover, i'd have one. Maybe this time next year although thinking about it, for the cash id get a meggy 225.
I did this at the weekend, its quite easy. Although if its passenger side you may need to remove the horn and acustic valve, just to help access.
You also need to pull out the x2 plastic rivits which need a bit of persaution but dont worry you can push them back in on re-fit.
Then you just...
Sounds like a good idea.
And yes you do need to take it to the redline as when you change gear you drop back into your max power zone. The rev range is there to be used or the redline would show 6,500 prm wouldn't it?
However, if its lowered of you have messed with suspension, you will be lucky. Just tell em its standard and most dealers dont even know the 182 exists...lol
