    fuel additive

Not really as said in this thread it depends on what your using it for. for example this a 1.2 will make no difference. but this in my other car which is an actual JDM y0! using 97 or 95ron compared to 99 can lose you up to 30bhp as its compensating so it doesnt knock. So if you dont have any...

    First time machine user

TBH they arent overly hard and a DA wont damage the paint but incorrectly using it will possibly make your paint worse, take more time to do anything or leave you with dissapointing results. EIther IMO go and youtube and spend like 10hours researching on there and DW and PB. Or book a detailer...

Recomend me a gd wax/sealer at a reasonable price

man please dont text talk, Try any wax like turtle wax or something. TBH it depends how deep into this you want to go. Your not actually polishing with SRP only filling. So if you want something decent but not available from halfords is Finish Kare 1000p or FK1000p or try some colinite.

Best spring compresser/clamp for changing springs

Cheers mate, I have been told that if a spring comes of the clamps it could smash your car up or kill you so the top ones are more like what im looking for. Would these be suitable for all springs e.g. lowering springs for the clio, oem clio springs and oem and standard for most other cars?

    72K service in Fife

I take it they are rubbish. My car will need its cambelt doing and it had been done by Parks in dunfermaline for £487. that was in 2007 though. Might take it Ness if they are decent otherwise Im going down to brum.

Knocking at 70mph main culprits have been dealt with!

Could be I suppose. I can feel it's coming from under the driver seat somewhere. Annoying as it's right at 70+mph. Which heat shield or exhaust bits are under the drivers side? Thanks

Knocking at 70mph main culprits have been dealt with!

I have a mk2 ph2 172 and I get a knocking about 70mph in 5th gear. Most of my driving is done on the dual carrigeway so its annoying to say the least. No Ive pulled the engine mount forward and tightened it to the right torque as per the guide. Less engine movement and it felt better but still...

Turn off abs but only temporarily

Yes I got that from the last 20 posts. The abs was really annoying me again yesterday. Also I'm engine braking and generally driving gently but the car doesn't want to come to a halt and it has a hissy fit on hills where as if you pull up the hand brake it stops and stays there.

Turn off abs but only temporarily

Is there anyway I can trick my abs into being off then? I had the abs ring problem and before I changed them it was worse at low speed.

Turn off abs but only temporarily

Hmm does seem a little badly designed. Ahh well i'l have to be super careful on the brakes. I nearly slid down a ditch as my driveway was a little steep

Turn off abs but only temporarily

Abs is pretty useless in snow/ice. It thinks your slipping all the time and gives you no brakes. So I take it I should just leave it as is?

Turn off abs but only temporarily

Hi guys and girls, I have fitted winter tyres to my car and they are great but I was wondering if I could turn the abs off but only on really snowy days. I have drove cars without abs before and they are fine. Is there a fuse I can take out to stop it coming on? Thanks

Best place for a OEM twisted dogbone bush?

It's a 172 mk2 ph2 51 plate. Nothing wrong with a dealers it's just it's nearly double the price of the powerflex ones. If I can't get the oem ones for a decent price i'l just get the powerflex ones.
