I'm trying to format my laptop. Have all the discs, but I cannot make my Pc boot from disc and enter Windows XP Setup.
I've accessed BIOS and instructed the PC to boot from disc drive but it just loads up Windows...
When in 2nd and 4th gears i can hear a high frequency ringing. mainly on the over-run. If I hold the gear stick firmly the noise disappears.
Has been doing this for about a year, just realised I can stop the noise if i hold the stick.
Any ideas? Could the linkage be hitting the cat?

did you change both sides? sounds like you did, but just thought i'd mention as it's nigh on impossible sometimes to tell which side is noisy. unless you get out and spin the wheels individually
