my locking wheel nut is stuck fast. the one that broke yesterday is fairly stuck too.
i had my tires put on by a place that does truck tyres. i snapped my tools trying to remove the bolts last time. had to get garage down road to use a huge bar to loosen them.
not happy!
front near side, ages ago like a last winter the locking wheel bolt snapped when i was driving along. so i ran with 3 bolts no worries
yesterday was putting my wheel back on and crack: another wheel bolt snapped. so i now have two bolts only and i'm drivin around cr@pping myself in case the...
just got off the phone to Renault. spring-loaded bolt kit is £12.45 plus vodka and tonic. not a bad price really, considering their usual pricing.
fingers crossed this will put pay to at least one annoying rattle.
ok, thanks for that...
I remember mine already has washers on it, so I'm going to have to add some more or maybe buy some new springs from the stealers.
Pictures are helpful.
Cheers, John

I've had this rattle since I put a whole new system on my 172. I've suspected the springs myself, but it's a bugger of a job to stick new ones on...
The noise is doing my head in though.
Anyone know if you can buy new springs from Reno?
my old 320i was a handfull in the wet if the tyre treads were even approaching low.Brown trouser moments aplenty.
I think my 172 performs really well in the wet to be honest.
had lift-off os shortly after buying the car, was my fault though, was coming off a wet roundabout too fast and the...
would it be advisable to buy a replacement tunerlist h/u off've fleabay?
I'm gonna be stuck with two h/u's if the fault is elsewhere... And, how much should I pay for one of these?
Cheers chaps
ah feck. so i either replace the wire and base, which is a sh1tter of a job or live with yet another renault 'characteristic'. can't even hold a station at mo'.
fecking french car manufaturer, can't even make aerials that work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
took the new aerial out and gave contacts a good clean. reception is still w@nk.
The base of the aerial seems secure, and I don't fancy ripping out the headlining to have a look-see.
Can anyone suggest a cure?
my radio reception has gradually got worse recently. today it was so bad it couldn't hold a station.bought a new aerial, took h/u out,all appears ok. reception is still awful. crackly,fading...
help!
i say yes but only if you have a bean can exhaust to complement 'the look'.
my old 320i had standard and discreet flaps, looked nice.
depends on the colour of paintwork and whether you need them i reckon.
but hey, it's your car.
