Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Ordered mine today, £11, coming in on friday hopefully.
Was it just the leicester branch or are all the show rooms really good. The staff were helpful and the parts guy didn't mind that I didn't have a skoda. He just got on with it and found the part. Then...
Re: cleaned/euro mk2 phase 1 (Now for sale)
Would be good if someone on here could buy it so we can still get to see it finished!
I think you are probably doing the right thing. If you aren't enjoying it any more for whatever reason then what is the point, get rid!
I would keep the wheels...
Re: cleaned/euro mk2 phase 1 (Now for sale)
Does seem a shame to sell it but I understand why you are doing it.
Could you just declare it of the road and store it somewhere, so its not costing you anything (i am presuming you could get a mate to do it for free). Spend £400 to get the golf on...
Re: cleaned/euro mk2 phase 1 (Now for sale)
Oh no, if i had the money i would buy it and give you it back to finish, just to see it finished the way it was intended!
Whats the plan for the future, another clio?
I'm going to miss tho's wheels !!!!
edit: keep the wheels for whatever you get next!
Sorry to bump, but can anyone confirm that its cool to just put the one uprated engine mount from k-tec on for now, without buggering anything else up. Obviously all uprated would be good but i have no money at the mo!
Why does it annoy you?
Fail stuff for the sake of it happens all the time, so they can make more money from you, so its worth being suspicious to save a few quid!
Do you mean a brake light, if so does it actually work?
Spring? I guess you would hear it, but i have never broken one myself!
I get mine MOT'd at the local council place as they have no reason to fail you as they don't do repairs. There is no plus for them if you fail so they do an honest MOT...
Wish i got 26mpg when i was town driving!!! I get 23 ish usually!
On motorway i get more like 37 mpg, but i have never been any good at sitting at 70mph :o
Average is usually around 32mpg.
I guess the mount is just getting old and things go, especially French things!
Need to get round to ordering a k-tec one. Is it all right to just run one k-tec mount or do i need both? Baring in mind i am very poor at the moment and one is going to be a stretch!
Its the bracket that has snapped, can't work out how. The way it sits on the mount and the way the force acts on it doesn't seem to add up to that part snapping!!
Had to drive it this morning, took it really steady. Seemed okay, no knocking or anything. Bit worried that if i keep driving it that i might shear the bolt!!
Driving home this afternoon, very load rattling and knocking suddenly started.
Managed to pull over and gave car a good check. It sounded like i had snapped something on the suspension, but nothing so popped the bonnet and found the noise was coming from the engine mount.
I just guessed it...
Is it really a modification? Obviously to you it is, but it is an oe replacement so in an insurance companies eyes it is the same (going by what you said about no performance increase and looking the same). Its no different to going to quick-fit and saying you need a new exhaust and them...
Oh god not another, they must be the same as k-tecs threads! All the lower to mid range coilovers look the same!
As said before, if they fit i don't think you can go wrong at that price. If there s**t it aint to much money!
Why do you go with Brentarce? If they are cheapest. I found them very helpful, but only been with them a month so far.
Admittedly I couldn't get any company to send me a written quote, except elephant (who i was with at the time). Didn't bother me as everyone took my word for it when calling...
How are people allowed to sell such s**t on ebay??
I can see where you are coming from, but it won't work, if anything sticking the fan in there is have the opposite effect by restricting air flow, at higher flow rates.
Pisses me off all this "its only a clio". He has asked for advise, he doesn't need to justify himself, and anyone who would be happy if they saw their car, no matter what it is being driven harshly by some tool without permission or reason!
I would just ask them not to drive it because you...
I saw this lot in convoy on the M1, which I thought was pretty impressive!
There were around 15 ferrari's in total all in convoy, but these 3 were the most special, think there was a 228 gto in the convoy, but didn't get a pic!
(sorry about quality, phone pics)
Better still saw a Dino...
I stand corrected, found it. Not brichdown...
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=487047&highlight=200+wheel+on+182
can't remember the out come, but i think its looks pretty good.
Think you can fit the 197/200 wheel to a 182, but not 100%.
I have looked for the tread but I can't find it, remember the Birchdown guys doing it, looked great!
Not sure its wise to question Fred's judgement, he knows all :hail:
Also i imagine your sister never changed the spark plugs herself (she's a girl) so:
1) How whould she know there was a problem.
2) They were likely last changed by a garage in which case tell her "friends" to take it up...
Haha!
How many cars do you guys have??
Love the golfs, especially the red mk1!!
Just commented on your project thread, the car is looking great, so low!
