There are already holes in the bodywork which are presumably for a splitter. I guess a Clio Cup splitter would be easiest of all. I was thinking about getting a Cup splitter for mine - but its pretty low at the front anyway and I wouldnt fancy my chances against a speed bump if it was another...
Just got a call back from those good ol boys at Renault.
"The Clio Cup spoiler is identical to the standard 172 spoiler"
"Oh No it isnt"
"Oh yes it is" (audience joining in)
"Oh no it isnt"
So if you own a Cup and youre unfortunate enough to need a new rear spoiler you can expect to...
Our local dealer still does them - just as a courtesy as theyre no longer part of the official service schedule. Too late for me anyway, as mine ran out of oil at 3,000 miles
Good question. Just called the local dealer and they still dont have details of the Cup parts - god knows what would happen if a Cup was involved in an accident and needed a load of bits! Theyre going to find out and call me back.
The council will pay up if you damage a wheel in a pothole, but you need evidence. Some people in Telford took pictures of the roads here last winter - one guy got his bill paid for his alloy refurb, and the roads got fixed. Result!
Trouble is - if you get a plate that refers to your car it looks daft if you transfer it to another model. Often see cars whose owners have fallen on hard times - T535 BMW on a Pug 206 for example.
Its nice to get a plate that means something to you rather than your car - that way you can keep...
Geoff can you update my gallery pictures please?

Luton to Zurich in about an hour and a half, only uses 30 quids worth of fuel apparently (well thats what they charge me anyway).
Itd be nice if it did as its a lot cheaper than a Superchip with a custom map. Im going to wait until the Midlands RR day on the 15th Feb, and if theres still no sign of the new ECU Im getting the Superchip the following week.
Renault will happily sell you one even if you want it for your lawnmower - theyre not known for turning away customers!
Customer: Id like an ECU / whatever widget please? The part number is 123xyz,
Renault bloke / girl: Itll be here in 3 days. Thatll be £250 please sir.
Ching!
It has to be done according to the manufacturers schedule (e.g. every 12 months / 12,000 miles or whatever applies to your car). And, you have to use original Renault parts OR parts that are of the same or better quality. As long as you can prove that it was done (i.e. I dont think you can claim...
V6 and Elise are both completely impractical as every-day motors - no luggage space - insufficient even for a trip to Tescos. Scooby much better, but a different animal really. Id get the Clio V6 and a cheap, practical runabout like an old Golf.
