Hi Phil,
the 1.8 8v engine was a general purpose unit used in loads of Renaults. It give pretty strong performance in a Clio as its such a small car. The 1.8 16v is a totally different kettle of fish - a specialised engine used in the 19 and the Clio, subsequently developed into a 2.0 150bhp...

That sounds about right!
1. Test car on RR - note ATW figure;
2. Remove engine, set-up on dyno, note ATF figure;
3. calculate difference.
4. remember, everytime you change the tyres, the oil or just about anything else, you need to repeat 1 and 2.
<RANT>
I reckon this ATF stuff...

Theres nothing really troublesome about the 172 really. Expect a few rattles and squeaks, and other minor build-quality issues that youd expect to get with a car costing 12k. They dont need much running-in - just a...

Get a table bracket from Jessops. They cost £12.99. Its basically a G Cramp with a tripod mount on it. I used one at York Dragway last time out - worked fine. Clamp it onto the bars that support the passenger headrest. Needs to be quite a lightweight camera though.
DannyBoy,
Mine is lowered on Eibach springs, Magnex full system, usual bulbs n stuff. Load of plans for more next year.
Once again - anything thats replaced is obviously not covered. Bolt a turbo onto the engine and the engine wont be covered anymore. But that still wouldnt prevent a claim...
