    Trip Computer...

Sounds like a fault. Mines a CB1N and the computer is ok.

Soon to be Cup Owner need advice

Have you used them yet? The tyres that I was looking at look a little pricey (Toyo), but the wheel & tyre packages look really good value.

    Possible Probs with Import 172`s

I think youre right Tony. All Mk2s are the same - they all have to conform to the same Euro emission regs - why would they make a special one just for the UK?

    Possible Probs with Import 172`s

Utter b*llox I should think! Hes just trying to get you to buy one from his garage! All cars have to pass type approval , and imports all have a certificate. If it passes type approval it will pass the MOT.

    Hello, thanks and a Q

Itll be a good thrash with the Pug and the MG - the Minis not really in the same league. Youd beat the lot of em around a track though.

    Someone pass the paper bag!

Just like the company cars that we used to have - you dont even need to change gear very often!

    Bloody pheasant

Here in Shropshire we are currently plagued with rabbits. Every morning the road is littered with squashed bunnies, but this appears to have no impact on the population - there are more and more every year. I see them in the garden (they eat stuff), on the drive, lurking under the car, they are...

    Someone pass the paper bag!

Mines in for a service and a few other bits for a couple of days. Needless to say I was presented with..... a Clio 1.2 Expression. I have to say, no word of a lie, its a PERFECTLY GOOD CAR! Perky engine, nice dash, leccy windows. Its quiet, comfortable and probably does about a million to the...

    Climate control

When it steams up hit the -demist- button and leave it like that for a minute or so. The air-con will come on and the fan will de-mist all the front windows. Other than that you should be able to leave it on auto the whole time..

    Test drive in Cup!!!

Mk 1 and Cup will both seem faster than a Mk2 for 1 simple reason - theyre noisier. The Mk2 172 is loaded with soudproofing - even the windscreen is meant to reduce noise. When I fitted my Magnex it seemed like the car had gained about 30bhp - just because it sounded like a faster car..

    Best way to run in

Theres also a safety aspect to running in. If anythings going to fail or fall off chances are itll happen in the first few hundred miles. You dont want to be doing !35mph when that wheel bearing shatters owing to a manufacturing fault. I had an Astra (company car) a while ago - after a few...

    Leon Cupra R

Leon is too much of a boat around a track to be any sort of contender. Would be completely toasted by a 172.
