I could get it rewelded, but tbh it all looks a bit tatty and minging under there so a new one would be ideal tbh.
Can the RS192 be purchased for less if I dont expect 10ps to be added lol
dont fear engine eletronics :) Stuff has moved on a fair way since the late 90's and ETB's are epicly reliable ime. With a cunning ETB capable ecu you should be able to simply 1:1 calibrate it so what you do with the pedal IS what happens to the throttle, jsut with the blipping at shift added...
When I changed the mounts on the 182's backbox on sunday I found that the bracket was acutally OFF to backbox on the passenger side :(
How much are new exhausts from Renault, and what is the expected lifespan of one? (my car has done 92K and I have no idea if thats on the original backbox lol...

These chaps seemed to be rather knowledgeable regarding SADEV's :) Granted they might not be huge help on the ecu front but could tell you what needs to be done to make the box reliable/robust in use
Agreed!
'anyone' CAN map.... but not many can do it right, even at the OEM's there are diabolical calibrators lol.
TBH this is a bit of a lairy engine to be learning with too as it will cost a lot when you get it wrong, or you limit what it can do by staying far too safe.
I'd get a few cheap...
Got them on today :)
poxy pax side bracket has come off the back box so its still floppy :( although with just the drivers side supporting it, its all very firm and now making the heat shield rattle as that had also fallen down..... Now quite how it passed an MOT 3 weeks ago with a broken...
Not yet, the boiler at home failed so thats my 'project' this week rather than working on the car lol.
I cant imagine it will take longer than 5 mins to fit the mounts though... Thats a job for Sunday/Monday.
(yes from Prima racing (or cituning)
they arrived.
They are OEM metalwork Renault logos on that part. With some hard as you like rubber in the mount.
appologies for the dire pic, i was in a rush
Mines done the same, I'm assuming its the hangers.
CBA playing roulette with them so have gone for the £70 competition mounts lol... meh if a jobs worth doing properly and all that. plus I'm too impatient to wait for silicone to go off.
I know its cheeky, but dont ask and you dont get.
Has anyone for CL5+'s fitted local to Stansted/Stortford that I could have a pax ride (and maybe a quick drive if you are uber kind, I do have drive anyother car insurance).
I fear my std brakes are a bit wooley, despite passing an MOT the...
is that the actual part number...(I dont think it is but willing to be proved wrong), Might have to have a crack at that little setup
tbh the mounts could be £5 for all I care, but I'd sooner not be under the car every 6-12 months fitting new mounts, my non work time is worth more than that lol
As above really, I see you can get normal ones for £20ish each on the rear but I'd sooner pay double that for a fit and forget setup lol
Does anyone sell an 'uprated' mounting at all?
If not I shall look into something as one of my rears has failed/sagged :(
personally I'd not bother with ATE super blue anymore... yes its great but the blue stains the crap out of your lines so if you bleed again with the Amber ATE you cant actually tell when its gone though properly lol.
I'm now a big fan of pikey mintex 5.1 fluid at £3/litre lol. Its NEVER let me...
gay blue does look amusingly nice (I picked mine up last week). I was trying to get an IO one though.
Some epic bargains about this time of year because you can kick the crap out of people on the price :)
I'd say it was just the uber cold weather... Mine was running smack in the middle until the middle of last week when its been 1-2 notches lower, and even lower than that when at 60-70mph.
Our MK4 astra would actually show the damn thing was stone cold wen on the motorway lol
'genuine' renault filters will be made by anyone who can make the filter to OEM spec and then branded as Reggie..... they will then knock out a load under their own branding and sell for a pittance of the price of the reggie branded part.
I personally think the fitler is pish tiny to make it 12...
You can get Millers oil from your local supplier for FAR less than opie... I can buy 10W60 CFS from my local place for a shade over £30 from my local factors :) (Used the 10W60 in my previous car).
tbh aslong as an oil has the relevant ratings on it then its going to be 'fine', esp if you are...
So renault service engineers got it wrong, or the cost down engineers on the de-phaser got it wrong? lol
I'd sooner piss in the oil filler than put mobile1 oils in any engine of mine.
Picked up some triple R and a botch filter for just under £30 from euro yesterday. Will do the change in the...
I would call Aston direct..
We have a DBS and a Rapide at work for test work and we had them put winter tyres on and my word it makes a silly sports car into a very very tame snow car :)
When maneuvering my std 182 at/near full lock in either direction it skips like a mofo on -4 block paved roads.... I'm just guessing the PE2's cant cope since I had similar with Bridgestone 040's on a different light car.
Or is this a sign of something else being worn/broken?
its on 205 if...
Anyone ever use the vacuum oil extractors?
I have one and use it with great success on our Passat and vx220.... so wanted to know if they work well on the 1*2
ime you want to treat the discs as consumables and spend big on the pads... so cheap and nasty plain discs :)
And no, cheap discs dosent mean warping by default, 95% of 'warped' discs are simply poorly bed in with the pads causing uneven transfer layers to be put on the disc face.
Drilled...
