Selling will take an utter age though.... And from what I've seen depreciation on a catD/C is harder than a non bent car.
tbh I'c only go down the c/d car route for a track car that you wont really worry about lol
the type of damage is almost irrelevant for the categories as I have a Cat C car there that you would barely notice the damage on!!!! just the value of the car VS repair costs went to the C route not the D...
That said, I wouldnt touch a CAT car with a barge pole regardless of the repair...
as said, try unplugging a wheel speed sensor... it will light the ABS light on the dash but with luck you will keep vehicle speed but drop ABS off. If it dosent work simply plug back in and jobs a goodun
lol the MOT will take about 10hours with having to strap down to a dyno, fit the relevant sensors and then do an 8hour cold soaked start for a NEDC to find the emissions..... I dont think thats going to happen.
with other cars if you take an abs sensor plug off you send it into error mode and turns off (bar things like speedo etc if you dont take the sensor out that does that job).
Well the asking/selling price might not change much, but it will sure as hell be a LOT harder to sell. I literally hung up on someone today when they said they didnt have any history for the car.
From what I've noticed over the past month, spangly perfect FSH etc, 04/05 182's are NOT selling...
I'm looking to buy (not a 172 lol), and have seen a couple of cars on ebay but I flat refuse to buy a 'decent' car from there.... I think many others are of that mindset too.
I'm looking on here, PH and autotrader for cars, and I'd imagine you would get a sale off one of those three. Although...
I've played with oen of those... its'ok' for checking your camber but I wouldnt want to do a good setup with it.
Ripp, any chance of a PDF or something of your gauge so we cna all have a go at making one please :)
lol, you will be VERY hard pushed it impress/please me (im a total s**t of a customer lol) but Gaz have.... I'll see what I can get from them for my 182 if I fancy deviating from OEM.
I trust youve had a proper play with the springs and damping? since the wrong springs on even the best dampers in the world will make it feel dog turd.
The stuff they supply for the vx220s took a few iterations of springs to get just right, its all part of the R&D stuff. Plus their customer...
note, I've not managed to kill my pikey £3/litre 5.1 stuff and I thrape the life out of my brakes...Managed to boil some normal dot 4 when bedding in some PFB 97's ffs, didnt get a hint of that with the 5.1
Not a huge fan of the OO lot, their 'advice', but thats my humble opinion and you all...
errrrrr sidewall and "thicker tyre" are the same part ;)
But the middle number is simply a %age of the width....
so a 205/45 WONT have the same wall as a 195/45.
Ahh I was under the impression the renault tool was well into the hundreds of pounds...
I'll get a proper renault one then. I'd sooner check myself than have to travel a long way to a half decent specialist etc
