Mines exactly the same. I think the ECU is doing something while it knows that the engine is cold. I get this every morning, and it clears at the same place.

Perhaps they are trying to say that the new one goes around corners when you turn the wheel. I had a couple of the old ones - they just carried on in a straight line if they were doing anything more than about 40..

Yeah, unfortunately one of the things that makes the Renault Sport factory unique is the fact that it looks like something out of the 1960s! Its not exactly state of the art. This may account for the variable quality control that we experience.

Nope, they wouldnt let us drive it (mind you in my case theyd seen how incompetent I was on the track already!)
I doubt itd feel any quicker, it probably rolls a bit less than standard but mines lowered anyway. Really nice looking car though, but I cant help thinking Id miss the creature...

GeordiePaul - yes its a Clio Cup. Looks just like a standard 172 apart from the colour - nice wheels but still 16 inch. The inside comes as a bit of a shock - seats look nice (but cloth rather than leather) but no climate control and quite a few other bits missing. They wouldnt let me take it on...
