I was looking at BMW coupes before getting my 182, however i was finding the insurance a problem. Well considereably more expensive than the 182 for a considerably slower car (eg 323)
I'm still hoping to own a BMW coupe in the not so distant future, all being well when i qualify in 6months...
Well today was quite sunny so the car got warm quickly. Took about an hour to dry with them pulled out to full length (clipped some cardboard in to stop them recoiling)
Car is looking spot on as usual mate.
Becoming more of a road going track car everytime i see it. Looks good with the back boarded out as opposed to the usual bare metal on show.
This thread is actually 6months older than yours, so i did search ;)
Yours was the thread a read last night in which i read about using washing up powder to clean the seat belts however when i come to post saying that it had worked for me i couldn't find your thread for some daft reason so...
I read this thread earlier, didn't use a nail brush as i didn't have one around but i used some washing up powder and a microfiber cloth.Seat belts were sheer filth before and although they're not 100% perfect yet they're looking so much better than before. Will give the seat belts another going...
Wish i could say the same, personally id much rather own a meggy 225/r26 or 197 over my 182. Although once im qualified ill more than likely be moving to something along the lines of M3/Boxster s
Insane. I remember when the 197 first came out all's people said is about how it will never replace the 1*2 etc etc. Look how the tables have turned, unless Renault made a major balls up with the 197 it was always going to be a success due to the reputation Renault have now created for being...
Somebody modded a 197 to look like vxr. ;)
197's have certainly picked up in popularity since they were first released. Some great looking ones in them pics. Infact doesn't look like any mk2's made an appearance.
next question....

polish or cleaner?
Hi guys,
Washed the 182 earlier and noticed how badly scratched the tips of the standard exhaust are, as well as being stained black in parts i presume from the exhaust gases.
Whats the best way (by hand) to clean the black of and remove the scratches?
Thanks, Russ
Can see what your saying, my gf often moans about the ride quality of my 182 (even though its just standard cup packed suspension), but for the way the car handles i think the ride quality overall is good. Ok so its sometimes a little crashy but nothing i cant live with.
prolines however dont really give a noticeable drop. Ive heard someone say before something along the lines of -
Prolines for go, sportlines for show.
meaning prolines give better handling, sportlines look better as they drop more.
Anyone have one/had one? Opinions on them?
Im considering one for the 182 as my boot is quite often full of tools for work so a run of the mill sub isnt really practical for me.
Thanks, Russ

The lights washer jets, they leak ridiculously all the time. I have gone through 5 ltrs of washer fluid in 4 dsays, its pissing out. It's coming from around the ball where the water usually comes out of. I think its a sealing problem off the ball, Any idea's?
My clio did this when i...
