Yes Alan - I have Zymol Carbon, Titanium, Concours and Destiny. Not tried the last one yet, but the Swissvax offerings are easier on and off aswell as look better IMO that the first 3 listed Zymols.
The PC = Porter Cable is the chosen route for most due to the safety margin it has being random oribital.
De Walt do a random orbital polisher, and Makita one which can be forced in to a random orbital mode as well, but both spin faster than a PC and do do take different sized backing plates...
P21s Looks good on Black.
Depending on your Budget others look lots better.
Under 25 Quid - Chemical Guys 50/50
Under £50 - Swissvax Onyx
Over £50 - Swissvax Best of Show
Good prep, ie polished really well. Most of the cars looks comes from the polishing stagse. Get the paint nice and swril free, stepping down the polish and pad grades - endeing with a really nice high gloss finishing polish like Menzerna Final Finish. Ideally by machine.
It also can technically can damage your paint - as people have found when it instills very fine marks that need to be polished out.
Make sure the clay is clean, warm, the car washed well, and plenty of lubrication used!
SRP and EGP x2 or 3 with a dedicated wheel wax here for me, either the Poorboys or Swissvax as they are cleaner free so wont strip the EGP.
Collinite or Megs 16 should stand up better top the heat than most Carnubas.
It is very strong, apply it to a nicley polished face and see how dull it makes the finish. If you have any damage on a wheel it will get under the finish and cause it to flake off badly aswell.
Autoglym Super Resin and then a couple of coats of the Autoglym Extra Gloss Sealant will do the trick.
You can also use one of these after the above too http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-tyres/poorboys-wheel-sealant/prod_9.html...
Some form of Acid Based cleaner is going to be needed. As a one off you should be fine. Seal them up after so future cleans will need only car shampoo and water.
As above depends on the product.
Waxes - P21s for example is a panel at a time and remove starght away will wet, where as Megs 16 can be applied to the whole car and then removed, others such as some of the Zymols need to sit on the panel for about a min, some Swisswax's 10 mins. Always read...
