If it rains on it you should really rewash to be on the safe side.
I used to QD my old light blue car after leaving it overnight, if the 182 was not garged I dont think I would risk it on black.
Foam hand pad, apply as thinly (when I say thin I mean thin lol )as possible to the whole car, back and forth. Allow to cure for 45-60 mins plus and remove with a microfiber. For best results reapeat gain 12 -24 hours later with an additional coat.
Just use the Paint Renovator with care then mate. As a rule as long as you nail does not catch they should come out. Let us know how it goes - Will have a look Sunday for you anyway if you like?
Sounds a plan, see how the SRP brings it up first, Try a couple of applications of the SRP in the trouble areas before you crack open the Paint Renovator.
Use with care! What do you need to use it for?
I went through the clearcoat on my old 309 GTi trying to sort a scratch with it.
An old fashioned type abbrassive, ( like T cut but more user freindly) it keeps a fairly course cut no matter how long you work it for unlike some newer polishes...
Greenlight where great when I was 19/20 wanting insurnace on my old Pug GTi's, can't get close these days (28), 10 years NCB, second car so low mileage.
The usual Admirial, Bell and Elephant where the cheapest ones when I was ringing around last week and the best price came from Admiral @ 370...
It is not as easy as thast so it seems, there has been a fair bit of discussion about that and the Zymol Vintage refills over on Detailing World.
The big pain is you also have to ship the pot back to be refilled in the US every time.
Wash, clay.
See how the 80 sorts out the defects. If it works then carry on and do the car. If not look into uisng the 83. Follow that up with the 80.
Then you can wax with P21s or use a sealant and then a wax.
If you want to lose the AG Super Resin step you could seal with something like...
Heating up the trim sometimes works on certain plastics either low heat from a heat gun or a hairdryer maybe enough.
If other products are just making it go shiny grey you could try Autoglym Trim Black dye on it (will make it balck black even if it was dark grey to start with though.)
Of the shelf Autoglym Super Resin on finishing pad and then there Extra Gloss Sealant
Mail order Jeffs Acyrilic Jett Trigger Selant after eithe Klasse All in one or Autoglym Resin.
Both will need a something to allow them to bond to the paint after the Megs 80.
Megs 83 and 80 are a proven combo, as a beginner I found the Poorboys SSR range easier to use/master though.
Try the mildest combo first, i.e see how the Megs 80 and a polishing pad fixes things before cracking out the 83 and a cutting pad.
You may want to stick a sealant on after the...
Quik Wax is spray wax meant to add protection, there QD is designed to remove lose dust and enhance gloss but won't add any protection.
Both can be used over EGP, personally I would not purchase either, there are better alternatives either as srpay waxes/sealants or Quick Detailers out there...
As some of the companys don't support or give CS discount not sure if it will happen.
Those that do should should have a sticky like the Carwash 'n' wax one though IMO.
As the car is already washed.
Spray the QD on the panel and get it nice an wet.
Cut the clay into 3, take one piece roll it in a ball and flatten out, Lightly rub over the surface (no need to use loads of pressure - it will marr the paint) as the clay becomes dirty fold/roll over the dirty area...
Foam pads will be fine.
Leave the EGP on for at least 30 mins, I tend to leave it on for an hour at least. The main aim is to apply it as thin as possible.
Music I just stick with iTunes.
Internet I use Safari or Firefox depending on mood.
Mail I do use Entourage ( the only bit on the Office suite I really do use at home)
Pictures I use Photohop CS2 as I have to use it for work, but iphoto as shipped on the machine works well for home use.
I...
