i'm £425inc vat non genuine bits or £475inc vat with gen bits
full cambelt kit and full aux kit (not just a belt)
and 12months warranty on parts and labour
the cup racers did run a sachs or alcon (i forget which) unit for a while, they then changed to helix or quatermaster from memory as the sachs/alcon units had problems
we ran a cup racer alcon paddle unit for a while, was good but fooking expensive!
mike i spoke to the manufactures about that thing you e-mailed me, in a word its a load of rubbish, it relates to CATS, not exhausts
i can do you a custom one if you want! will cost a few quid more, but you can have any tailpipes you like
never used one on a 172/182, i always use valeo ones, i took a sachs one out of a Ford ka once, it fell out in about 6bits but i would say that was more the drivers fault! haha
Re: F**K F**K F**K Heads gone!Valve timing unit help needed.
just to be clear, that isn't what i quoted! don't want you scaring away my customers!
that's the figure your old man has come up with including transport from blackpool, 2nd hand head, and collection from birmingham
a beer token or 2, only takes 10min to get the stuff setup, drive on, drive off - done! the joys of wireless scales :D
(note corner weighting ie f**king about with it costs more, labour time *****ing about)
looks like i should include fitting instructions with them! 100% no need to cut them to fit them
sometimes you have to adjust the cat bolts, but that's it, Dave63 had his from the same batch and i fitted that one, no bother
in its lifetime!
rear engine subframe? your's come loose too?
i seem to recall coating mine in threadlock and wangin them up to 150nm, i'll have a wee look in the book tomorrow to check
maybe my first estimate was a bit on the light side, but its no way heavier than a 172 setup, i can pick up a bare 1.2 16v engine, takes 2 to lift a 172 lump (us midlanders aren't that strong btw ;))
172 lump is 95kg
172 box is 35kg
172 aux bits 30kg tops
