Everyone seems to have them, but they do look good.

SFX are smaller, and made of firmer more dense foam, slightly more effective at paint correction than the equivilent DAS grade pad. I have both, use the SFX on weathered paint and the softer DAS ones on my own car and on better shape paint finishes when a less aggressive approach is needed.

Won't go wrong with either. The PE2s have the edge for me though.

Shampoo - Not a fan of maxi Suds, Sonax Gloss Shampoo, Chemical Guys Wash'n'wax or Duragloss Wash are my current choices. Clay - Much of a muchness - just avoid harsh bodyshop ones. Glass Cleaner - Autogylm Glass Polish. If your loking into a waffle weave drying towel look into the Sonus or...

Sealants and wazes I normally apply by hand, the exception being Megs #16. Polished and Glazes nearly all the time by machine. Products like Clearkote VM and Autoglym SRP work even easier by machine.

The Autoglym twins of the Super Resin and Extra Gloss Protection work very well and they will always have a place in my collection. I have recently found another product worth considering to use over the Resin Polish that is much easier to use than the EGP - wipe on wipe of with no cure time...

What colour? Laquered? When you say you have tried polishing it - what process have you used?

Yeah - Chris is name is I think, he owns the Custom trimming place - he wants those wheels polished as the next job on it! Custom 101 are about 30 seconds away from where I live

Rover V8! Was chatting to the girl with the Polo was a tidy car, my mate does the metal polishing on her many sets of wheels! The G60 was superb more so considering the mileage.

The other one worth looking into is the Obisound system, but it is the most expensive out of the lot.

Working by hand it will be hard work - worth trying Megauirs Scratch X anyway. Better of getting it machine polished.

Infact after looking at the advert and a picture I have took I am sure there has been some Photoshop or a very carefully picked angle - One to compare if you have the current EVO running the ad of the 197

The current advert of the red one in this months EVO is the only picture I have seen that I like of the 197 I like but I did wonder if it had been tweaked slightly.

Can't weigh that much I thought it should cut through the air better!
