Lots of soapy water and Megauirs All Purpose Cleaner or Autoglym Engine Cleaner.
Chances are the shell will have made lots of micro pitt marks that will need a repaint to fix if they where thrown at the car :(
Both have a velcro backing playte including in the kit.
DAS despite being larger in size have a 5 inch one that fits in a recess in the back, though can be used with a 6 inch one to.
The SFX comes with a 6 inch plate.
UK wise Sonus pads can be bought from Tim @ http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/...
Dennis stop being so lazy, eat some chips instead of salad and you will be able to clean better - look at Brazo he detests salad and cleans for Engalnd!
AG SRP - Foam pad panel at a time, remove with a microfiber
AG EGP, foam hand pad, apply to the whole car as thinnly as possible leave to cure for an hour plus, and remove with a microfiber. Thinner the better.
People moan the AG twins dust - but most use far to much. Anything you remove is...
Cheeky boys!
Dennis I though Brazobutter was you biatch ;)
I will never get bored - though a woman here at work thinks she can hypnotise me to give up being the way I am about my car cleaning!
I posted what I use in that other thread of yours. What they do:
Polishes - remove defects swirl marks and defects if there are not to deep.
Sealant - Protect the paint and should out last waxes.
Glazes - add depth, weetnes and gloss to the paint, and some help tohide defects...
Most waxes look good on Silver, I would top the EGP with Meguiars 16 from Alex at http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk for winter time.
Now you have waxed you cant add more laters of EGP over the wax, always worth getting two or three coats of the EGP down first IMO.
I have never mixed the two, but have applied the SRP not removed it and then applied the EGP over the top and removed them both together, not as effective as applying and removing individaul coats of each.
I dress the whole tyre including tread at shows just the side wall for day to day use) before leaving the show I wipe the actual contact part of the tyre clean with a towel to be safe, but I have also just driven of with the tyre still dressed and it all wears off in about 30 seconds.
In those...
I use a mild polish/paint cleaner 3 or 4 times a year but you can use it as often as you like to be honest.
Why do you want to strip the wax? Just add layers on top of the existing.
Sod the fairy, just use AG SRP or Klasse AIO to remove old layers.
As others have said it black paint will allow a real depth to be obtained that other lighter colours wont. What you lack indepth should be able to be made up in reflectivity. What is the paint finsih on the car like. sounds like it had a fair bit of clear applied to it? Is the paintwork smooth...
Used it a few times, it is actually made by Turle Wax! Better than the Megs NXT, but on par with Gold Glass IMO. Lots of suds but does not leave a nice a finish as some shampoos out there. Not used mine for a while as there are other products thast work better still for me.
The Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine is designed to be a stand alone product and not be topped. Autoglym even say there own Extra Gloss Protection Sealant wont bond ontop of it.
I am not a fan of the UDS so would be tempted to ditch that and the Turtle Wax IMO.
Spray sealants are the easist to use...
