Hard to know if your using to much, a swipe of the tub should be enough to do a door/wing or half or quarter of the bonnet. Apply nice and thin.
Try buffing the car after the wax with a clean MF towel, and/or quick detail it.
Did you clay and polsih the car before sealant and wax?
The Chemical guys synthetic detailer is a great option to add gloss, to add some more protection and gloss, maybe look at the CG Speed Wipe.
Not sure what you mean in Q1, are you getting a haze left over after waxing?
Q2 - Just wash and quick detail, maybe throw a coat of wax on if you have time.
Give them a wide berth IMO, if your want a budget tyre I would even suggest Toyos over them. At the end of the day the contact patch between the car and road is the almost the important thing there is - so dont skimp.
The Megs bottles are a decent size, and half dilution ratios on them to quick and easily mix up the product.
Foaming sprayer is a must for the APC IMO.
Clay bar is no good for dull paint, it removes stuck on contamination.
Try a decent polish on the dull area. Even by hand you should be able to bring it up.
