Wax and Clay wont sort your swirl marks, you will need a decent Polish to sort them out.
You working by hand? To remove swirls will take some real elbow grease, worth trying something like Meguiars Scratch X applied with a folded terry towel.
I have a 20gb 4th Gen one aswell and just updated to the nano, due to the fact it is tiny and still gives you 8gb of space so is ideal in the car, no moving hard drive parts means no chance of skipping, and easily fits in a pocket.

Easy way to spot the Cup rear spolier is to see if it has a red brake light. As Maz said the spolier pack should also have a small plastic chin spolier on the front valence.
To get it to standards that I would be happy with all depends on the paint shape. Wash and clay, light swirls removed, glass and trim can be done in say 4 hours with a couple of you doing it. Deeper swirls and working on your own can easily push that into 6-10 hours.

Depends what polishes you are using. You really dont want to hit it with an abbrassive polish more than once a year.
You could use a mild polish like AG Super Resin every week if you liked and remove very little.
