highly highly likley it'll be the lower aux belt idler pulley (rare they get changed and hence one of the causes of belt failures)
does it sound kinda supercharged?
undo the upper alternator bolt and pull it down, makes life easier, what "tool" are you using to fit the belt? is the engine in the car or on the floor?
GSF don't do them from memory, belt pulley AND tensioner need changing, i can get you the bits no bother, t**t of a job though! (and if you don't want to do it, yes i can ;))
non genuine = genuine if that makes sense!!
genuine renault cambelt kit = gates powergrip kit
non genuine (if you specify) is gates powergrip kit (but make sure they use a gates kit)
the difference between the 2 kits is the renault one has a diamond on the belt, thats it!

Dan dan danny dandan, welds cracking on yozzas? behave, there were some stealth (ie 3) that had issues inside the rear box and 1 197 system with the same, apart from that, nada (may have been a few more since i left, but i'd be surprised)
