PMSL - one of those ebay chips! I think we either have a windup merchant, a forum user under another name to have a laugh or an complete idiot!
BTW - Your M3 kitted BM is LAST fastest compared to a Cossie or V6. Looks wise...thats personal taste but it is nice ill agree...
rob137, a standard valver will do 130mph and also weighs a lot less. I think but the time your 320 got to top speed we would both have run out of road...with me stopped waiting on you. Dont get me wrong, i dont blame you for thinking bigger is better, but dont forget the effects of extra weight...
Well, (just to confirm), no im not a student - im work full time in a well paid job. Although my car is 11years old it does start first time, every time. It also has 137bhp as standard, weighs a lot less than your 318 and will 0-60 in 7.7 seconds. Finally, mine has also been rebuilt, chipped and...
erm, ill think youll find the M3 has a massively powerful engine as well as your bodykit so that might explain its speed not yours...or lack of. Im not trying to be nasty but please be aware of what your car can and cant do!
m8, your car is quoted at about 10secs 0-60 and thats without your 18s! A Cossie will do it in about 6 - thats HALF of your car so how can you claim itd not be far behind?! No offense but FOOL.
Really? My 11 year old Clio 16v would whoop the arse of your newer 318...same size of engine and its older! However, thats not the point and neither is comparing your car to a worn out cossie (which i still think youd struggle against) - theyre a different league.
I wouldnt deny your car is...
No-one can beat my mate for comic value run-ins with animals! One time he was driving home and this cat runs out in front of him while hes doing about 40. He swerved to avoid but the damn thing ran in the same direction and he went over it. Not nice in itself but once he stopped and reversed up...
I have to disgree with this im afriad. At the end of the day the ford weighs nearly the same as a 172 and has considerably more power - it will definately be faster despite the 4x4 issue. Dont think im starting an arguement but your mates one must be in poor tune or he cant drive - my valver is...
Normally in these V6 or ... posts id say take the v6 as its quick and not many car come close for looks. However, were taking about a Cossie here - hear what im saying...COSSIE! Different league performance wise and looks better/more purposeful. Obviously we all love Clios but anyone who could...
TBH I prefer the looks of the clio over the megane but times change i suppose - there was a time i didnt like clios! I have seen a kitted 225 and that looked HARD. That pic was posted on here is anyone remembers it...?
Those figures will be the same as valver vs williams comparisions - the megane will need an extra gear change to get to sixty so not really quicker in real terms...
Probably your chips raised limit helping you out i think. 172s seem to suffer from being off cam in the same way that valvers do IMO - a little gutless when not on it.
IMO with those mods the 172 will pull the minute the valver hits 4th gear (90 or so). Throw in some cams, straightthough exhaust, loose the IK and 17s and itll even things up a bit more - maybe keep you ahead until you hit 5th. Once in 5th though itll be 172 all the way - however by then youll...
Defo standard airbox back on and get a straight-through centre section if your current exhaust doesnt have it. Youll probably need the rest to cover the headwork plus fitting...speak to BenR/GDI about that though.
I would also have said the willy track even youve got uprated parts - it really...
Think that red 1.8 for sale a while back had something to do with this mob > http://www.teamthink.co.uk/http://www.teamthink.co.uk/ They might be able to get you some specs maybe. I think theyve moved onto the 172 variants now IIRC...
Other way round fella!
Id say fair enough if your 16v has some of its parts nicked from a williams (i.e engine or track - wheels/interior wouldnt cover it tho) but otherwise id say a BIG no...
Kwikfit are ok near me as most of the guys are into their cars so know what theyre doing...I always stand beside them anyway so i can see theyre not fcuking it up!
Thats cool though - ill give them a try 2moro and hopefully get it done...cant wait - should be a hellova difference. The last...
...fit stainless systems or will they say no?
I need to get my straight-through (yay!) system on and they seem to be the only place open late. How much will i be looking at as well - its only about a half hour job isnt it?
I would think the door would be the same as people exchanges bump strips between the phases without problems. Colour wise id expect it to be ok - if not a t-cut should bring them closer. Will just depend on the condition of yours and the condition of infinicars one.
I had that OE steering wheel in my old megane and it was not nice at all. Unfortunately (like my megane) the dashboard is an awkward colour (mainly greeny/blue) to match with an after-market wheel that will still look right.
Best i could find was the model below. Its a MOMO Jet - if you get...
Ill have to say that i prefer the phase 1 look too - looks a little more mean...although the phase 2 grille does make a big improvement. I find the seats are better too...phase 2 seats are a bit williams wannabe for my liking... ;)
