Thanks! Already got the low temp fan switch and thermostat but it still seems to go really hot in traffic (its also had a new radiator and system flush as well) - maybe somethings wrong somewhere....

Nah - not the maxi style wheels - had them and sold them cos they stuck out too far! Like the sortof dish style wheels the most - wish my phase 1s were a bit bigger! I found these on the compo site but either they dont go bigger than 15" or are going outta production...

How much should i pay for a 1997 2.0ltr 16v megane engine? Been offered one for 475 + VAT but as im only really after the bottom end i dunno.... Its on 70000miles and taken from a 97 coupe....

Thinkin of getting a wide arch kit for my 1.8 but bit concerned about the rear wheels and putting spacers on (apparently this aint the best). Has anyone had experience of this or would it be best to get wider wheels? Also, does anyone know what width/offset size would be best to use with alien...

would be the same as a clio id have thought - ie timing belt changes etc. BTW, theres a 19 16v engine sitting in my local scrappy in aberdeen if you need any bits off it....eg cams for reprofiling etc.....soooo cheap....

Ok, its pretty apparent that the chances of me finding a salvagable williams engine in aberdeen are pretty slim so am looking for the next best thing! Ive heard that some people have fitted a megane bottom end to a 16v head and i want some info on this: what can i use from my existing setup...

Dont use it for commuting - keep it purely for recreational use. Personally, id stick with your plans of headwork etc (all the hidden stuff) - that way when mag/tv show uses it itll be even better than what people think it already is!

Ive got a blue valver but only my folks stay in peterhead - i stay in aberdeen. Dont really go in for all that bluetooncruise.com/aberdeenbeach.com shenanigans...;).

dunno - wouldnt think it would be if its only on 46k - my valver one was on what appeared to be its original one when i removed it at 128k....could be wrong....
