you're just missing the brackets then, hook the belt under the plenham or throttle body or something! the engine has to go in with the gearbox lower than the engine, otherwise it won't fit, once the gear box is past the passenger side chassis rail you're laughing
i always run a smidge (as in a tiny tiny tiny) amount of front toe in and the rears i normally go the same if not parallel ie no toe at all.
front camber with me is an odd one, i personally prefer not much front camber and a nice chunk or rear camber
suspension setup is an odd one, i can set...
na thats not far at all man, easy peasy
you got the engine and box hanging with the box end down?
engine \ box (if you get that!)
like this, but with the box hanging closer to the floor
^ behave, they're awesome handling cars (well the 16V was anyway) man you could get them sideways, i miss the old girl, we chopped it in in 2003 for something daft like £2K, we had it from new on an R reg and had done 22K miles :( (it did have a new gearbox though, ooops)
if you turn off the abs, but the leave the system in, it automatically defaults to a 50/50 all round setup, you must remove the pump and fit a bias valve, this is what i've done and its wicked!
JC5 and JB3 as far as i'm aware use the same flywheels, clutches, dirveshafts, the lot, just the upper gearbox mount is different, but you can buy the bits to make it work
you're going to have a right nightmare trying to get the 1.6 unit to work i would think, good luck!
they're pretty quick actually, 1.4 16V 100bhp, my mum use to have one, quite a rare car as it was £13K or so new back in 1997/98 (ie the most expensive polo in the range)
i had 125mph out of down the runway :)
they're mad that lot!!!
