Took the Easter break as the chance to start to get the 182 ready for the up coming shows. First time I have used any real cut to the paint since I brought it, but thought it was time to remove the swirls. Went a bit mad with the Glazes later on as it's my own car and wanted to get it looking...

Seen a few concours cars with painted exhausts and it looks a bit poo. Clean it up with some Autosol or other metal polish. Works well on my 182.

They are on my wish list after driving Loonys - alongside the Orbisound.

Quick detailer won't remove the EGP. 3 coats of EGP works well though as Ben says.

Wait till the next time you wash it and throw on a coat of P21s or Nattys Blue.

Buy a pc! 3 coats on the 182 this morning. 4 coats on my mates cossie the afternoon, still feeling fresh - bath and pub now ;)

I would always do the tyres! A little more for the clay due to the time involved. Just to wash, machine polish and seal takes me 4-8 hours depending on paint. To do a full show detail, clay, wheel arches etc would take me two days. Have spent nearly 3 days on my own car and I am still...

If you where not driving I would not even be worrying about it. DVLA cover themselevs by saying a chnage of owners details and to send out V5's can take a month, send the bits back to the police saying not driving, sold on xx/xx/2006.

You wont get any of that from Halfords unfortunatley Dan. Halfords only do the Megs consumer range. I havent sealed it at all yet thats a job for tomorrow.
