infact, thiking about it, the thing to spend your money on is an oil temp/pressure gauge

not really unless you're doing loads of track work and your oil temps are high although with the thermostatic plate the cooler only functions when the oil gets above 80degC we block our cooler off in the winter as the oil gets overcooled (but we have a non thermo plate, so oil is circulating...
