Another small addition, cheap ebay boot mat, fits perfect and looks the part so for just over a tenner I'm happy, help protect the original even though don't really use the car boot much tbh
both the stalks are wrong, arse!
Appears phase 1 are lucas items not valeo and not cross compatible really. Plus colour match ain't quite right.
So bought a lucas one..... for a poverty spec it bloody seems as only single fog light position.... dammit should of looked closer on the popular...
why would you let the courier take the parts if they hadn't already been paid for? I don't get it?
edit, wait I do, just took me while figure it out, lol i'd so get scammed easy 🤣
Another minor update, cars just been lapping up the mileage as normal, however hit a couple of stumblers recently.
The cat joint fell off manifold side, so I sold the original cat and stuck a cheap eBay 60 quid one on with a new fitting kit. That keeps occasionally throwing a Lambda fault up...
My 182 does this sometimes but not all the time, I always use 97 or above RON fuel, currently ESSAR 99 as local place is that now but if out and about BP or Shell etc etc.
It can do it on any tank of fuel from any of the above, so I have always just put it down to slight impurities in a certain...
Seen today around 1:30/2pm at Stafford street roundabout, right silver fox at the wheel. looked far cleaner than my heap but didn't catch full reg so couldn't MOT History stalk you.
You were waving or something out the window though so defo a 'Clio guy' so may be on here?
Nice purchase, looks a good base and getting belts done before you even get it is ideal, piece of mind!
Presume you are chap on Facebook groups too who has his answer for carbon (carbon skins) and wheel refurb (snappy)? I have used both those for my stuff and wouldn't use anyone else, both...
reiterate all above really, good ones are getting hard to find thanks to being killed, tracked or kept hold of now.
I may well have the least valuable RB in the country now though but still wouldn't sell it for less than 3k in its current setup
Day out to Surrey rolling road today with the mk1 crew, although we're unfortunately mostly in mk2's or mk2 powered these days, only 2 F7 engines on show!
Took the phase 1 however to see how she was, nice stock car with nice stock power it transpires. Spec is totally stock, stock intake, airbox...
I upped my front spring poundage and fitted a roll correction kit, slicks work much much worse now and I need to re-geo for it...….softer springs and more roll was working perfectly before. damn the modding bug
The rsr was never a very good semi anyway so whatever replaced it isn't really going to help. Abrasion I guess is a major issue but a harder compound original r888 would maybe be decent middle ground?
Does the race serious stipulate original tyre circumference? So can't drop to 15"?
Use decent semi slicks too, rsr and ad08 are road tyres really, you want Dunlop direzza or nankang ar-1 really. Or original style r888 if you can find them
